Still a little shaken by his flight, the eevee nodded to Donna’s words of wisdom while she placed him down on his feet. He smiled, mouth opened to ask her if she wanted to play another game. A better game. Maybe… Tag?

But before he could get the words out, the daycare human interrupted their fun. Large ears fell, eyes widened and fell sad. “It was nice playing with you Donna!” The young eevee called out, plucked off the ground by one of the humans and being carried off. “Hope we can play together again!”

Shortly after their farewell, a high pitch giggle filled his large ears. Gaze fell upon his master, her pink haired all the way down to the ground. “How was your day Arroyo?”

Spring was in full swing, casting the land in both rain and the start of greenery. It was her favorite time of the year. The cold winter months were over. Warmer weather was just around the corner. Not to mention, coordinating season should be coming back as well. With that in mind, Eleanor couldn’t pass up the opportunity to snag a few extra pokemon in the safari zone.

Beaming ear to ear, the young pink haired woman darted into the area. She took in a deep breath, the sounds of birds chirping their morning song was music to her ears. “Come on Rue,” the woman called out after her sylveon, darting off further into the wilderness, “Bet I’ll find one before you!”

As the Rhydon expected, the eevee went flying through the air. His heart raced, body went weightless as he suddenly because a flying type. Part of him wanted to yell out ‘weeeee’, the other had a damn near heart attack. And as he reached the peak of his ascend, gravity began to pull him back down to earth.

Eyes widened with fear, body wiggling in hoped to be line a true cat and land on his feet. However even if he landed on his feet, surely a bone would break. Luckily for him, Donna was ready to catch him. “Please catch me,” he cried out just feet from the ground.

Despite the hard exterior of the rock and ground type, the Rhydon somehow softened his land against her arms. Still, the capture took his breath way. He gasped for air, heart raced so fast. He took several deep breaths, trying to comprehend what just happened. And only after a few minutes to gather himself, his gaze turned to Donna with a half smile still partly stunned. “Thanks for catching me.”

Large ears dropped when the massive ground-type didn’t seem to think she could enjoy the slide like he. And when the Rhydon attempted to climb up the ladder, the very first step let out a loud snap and broke. Arryo expression saddened, seeing this bothered the heavy pokemon.

In hope to cheer his new friend up, the normal type fox let his gaze search for something else that maybe they would do together. Ear perked up when his gaze landed on an empty teeter totter. “Why don’t we try out that toy over there?” He asked, moving towards the object in question, “That could be something fun we can do together.”

Once at the teeter totter, the male pokemon sat at the one side that was down. His gaze shifted to the Rhydon. “Can you get on the other side?”

A half hour has passed by with little to no activity. Even with the fairy incense fully bloomed, it seemed like hardly any of them wanted to come out and play. A soft bored sigh escaped the young woman, sapphire orbs lifted to the mostly sunny sky. A gust of wind sent her pink hair into a fray, also pushing the fairy incense further into the route.

It wasn’t until a grumble was heard when Eleanor shifted her gaze off the white fluffy clouds in the sky to the noise. Curious to see what it was. To her surprise, a pink drooling pug like pokemon let out a muffled ruff at her. Her large eyes got larger, leaping off her sitting spot and kneeling down to the pup.

“Hi there little cutie,” the coordinator greeted, pink painted fingernaps reached out to scratch the top of its head, “Aren’t you adorable?” The canine let out a ruff, leaning into the humans scratch. It felt good. So good, his left foot began to fidget. Eleanor giggled, beaming in a delightful smile. “How about you one with me cutie?”

Reaching into her pocket, the woman pulled out one of her empty pokeball. She flashed it before the pup, tapping it on its head. The ball opened, drawling the creature in and closing behind it. It wiggled in her hand. Eleanor only grinned more, happy to have yet another pick pokemon in her collection.

It didn’t take long for the incense to attract their first fairy pokemon. And it wouldn’t be a fairy type, if it wasn’t pink. Large sapphire eyes widened when she spotted the recognizable pink swirl of hair, watching it waddled closer to their location. “Oh man gosh Rue,” she whispered, hand rose to cover her mouth, “It’s so cute.”

The sylveon let out a meow, watching the wild pokemon as well. “This sucks Rue,” she pouted, bottom lips protruding out and all, “I want it but I already got one. I really want something else and like, these things are kind rare you know.” Rue let out another meow, snuggling up nest to her human. Eleanor sighed. “Let’s just wait. Maybe if we are lucky, we can catch it on our way home.”

Bushy tail wagged when the rhyhorn complimented his name that his trainer gave him, ears forward and a smile in his eyes. “Thank you! Its nice to meet you Donna!” The once fear of being trampled on by a bigger pokemon has now faded, leaving him more relaxed and carefree.

“Oh,” he started, gaze shifted to the colorful slide behind him, “I was just sliding down this thing that the humans left here.” Gaze returned to the pokemon, headed titled to one side. “Do you want to play on it with me?” A sudden wave of energy pulsed through him, leaping forward and darting around the rhyhorn to the back side of the slide.

“All you got to do is climb up this side…” the creature paused, carefully lifting his paws up the latter before appearing on top, “And then you end up here. And when you’re ready…” The eevee sat down and scooted forward, letting gravity do the work and slide down. “WEEEEE!”

Once at the bottom, he turned to the rhyhorn. “See! You try!” The eevee moved away form the slide, eager to watch Donna go down.

Taking a break from her safari zone hunt for a shiny eevee, Eleanor found herself outside of rustoro city on a broken up route of 115. In the hopes that she can catch yet another cute pink pokemon that she wanted, the pink haired woman lite the incense. A sweet buttery aroma bellowed out of its many ports, drifting away in the light breeze from the coastline.

This caused the woman to smile, eager to see what pokemon this things draws towards her. Her hopes was that a galarian ponyta would find this smell attractive and come out to play. Of course, this incense attracted any fairy type pokemon but that was the one she wanted. Giggling, the coordinator found a place to sit and wait.

It didn’t take long for the pink haired young lady to run into her last pokemon. And honestly, the coordinator was sort of grateful. After moving about the safari zone all afternoon, she was starting to get tired. It was hard work hunting down that shiny eevee she never got. A sigh escaped her, feeling defeated.

Her gaze lifted to the chikorita in the tall grass, watching its large leaf on its head bounce with each step it took. It wasn’t pink, but she heard that some will be willing to trade her for a pink pokemon for this one. That was the sole reason for her to launch her last safari ball at the wild creature.

It knocked the side of its head, opening up and sucking the creature in. A hint of grin spread across her lips, feeling at that least she made it to the end. Even as the ball closed and fell to the earth with a light thud, Ely could almost fell exhaustion wash over. Her mouth suddenly gapped open, a yawn over took her facial expressions. “Alright,” she mumbled once her yawn was done, “let’s head home.”

It was getting late. The sun was starting to creep closer and closer to the horizon. Sapphire eyes flickered over the wilderness of the safari zone, spotted the familiar frame of a swirlix. Eleanor bite her bottom lip, wanting to go chase after the little cutie so badly. She sighed, turning away from the temptation. She only had one ball left and didn’t want to use it on a swirlix.

In an attempt to boost her own decision, the pink haired woman let her gaze fall upon the oddly colored creature with her. “Come on Meadow,” she chimed, motioning for her to follow, “Let’s go over there. We don’t have much time left so we have to hurry.” The butterfly like pokemon fluttered her wings, chasing after her master as she ran.
