Maybe this time she would end up creating a mess. For some reason, everyone seemed to think that just because it was a race, they should only focus on making themselves faster. Which probably was fine. But nobody expected the Frosmoth Tailwind! Right out of the gate, as the white flying moth followed the Red Rooster, it immediately flapped its wings harshly creating a gust of wind that would cause everyone to move faster, faster, faster!

And, to be honest, Violet just enjoyed feeling that gust herself. It was so invigorating and made her hair flutter nicely. She’d just have liked to not be stuck with sportswear but hey, what could a girl do? Rules were rules, sadly. Instead, she just focused on not losing track of the others.

Everyone was going much faster, nice. The other people in this race seemed surprised, too, which honestly was her primary goal in all of this. Aside from that though, no one tripped or was thrown out of their lane from the Tailwind, meaning it was only half effective in her mind. Sadly, attacking others was not allowed here – they were kind of meant to cooperate, after all – so there wasn’t much she could do aside from smirking.



A proper lady would behave in such a situation, after all. There was only so much leeway she would get for klutziness. Therefore, it was best to just play it straight from now on. Frosmoth, being one of the few proper fliers about, easily dodged the obstacles that came up. Honestly, it was probably a bit unfair to have proper wings in this, but that wasn’t her problem. After all, she didn’t have wings herself and had to follow best as she could on her own. Maybe that was balance enough? “Let’s be selfish and add a Quiver Dance,” she instructed, causing the Frosmoth to spin in the air, giving itself just a bit more of an edge.

So much madness, so much mayhem – but that was a popular beach for you. This was actually her first time on one, given that they had lived more in the mountains. Rangerdad and Rangerbro had not exactly been interested in getting a tan or anything like that. Truth be told, Vio wasn’t, either. She had specifically applied copious amounts of dye to get the pale and white-haired look she got going on there. But then again, gratuitously applying more chemistry had been a good solution to that, too. So far, the sunscreen coupled with an umbrella had been sufficient, even as she’d spent most of the morning on the beach. Not a lot of swimming though. There was a swimsuit beneath her white summer dress, but she’d had enough of that after some weird kids had joined the shallow water. Those were fun to watch as they turned the beach into a battlefield, but not as fun to be around.

Hence, she had simply watched proceedings for a while. But now? Now, she had enough of that, got up and dusted off. Umbrella in hand, the former ranger in training decided to saunter down the beach, away from the masses and towards the more unkempt areas, deciding to explore a little bit beyond the small dunes.
