Maybe this time she would end up creating a mess. For some reason, everyone seemed to think that just because it was a race, they should only focus on making themselves faster. Which probably was fine. But nobody expected the Frosmoth Tailwind! Right out of the gate, as the white flying moth followed the Red Rooster, it immediately flapped its wings harshly creating a gust of wind that would cause everyone to move faster, faster, faster!

And, to be honest, Violet just enjoyed feeling that gust herself. It was so invigorating and made her hair flutter nicely. She’d just have liked to not be stuck with sportswear but hey, what could a girl do? Rules were rules, sadly. Instead, she just focused on not losing track of the others.

Her Scolipede earned herself a well-deserved break, so Arthur showed up to replace her now.

His focus is on the Woobat, the fastest pokemon he can spot - and a well-executed PSYCH UP allows him to mimic the same process, granting this psychic-type also a tremendous amount of speed. Katherine was not in a rush as much as her partner was, and it leaves Gallade with only one option: running past her.

Nah, everyone was handling it fine. What a bummer. Though she could have sworn that at least some of these guys were quite surprised by the Tailwind, no one tripped or overshot.
Ah, well. If she couldn’t create innocent chaos, then she wanted to win at least. Though, admittedly, Frosmoth was more of a teamplayer to begin with. It could help everyone else get faster quickly, but as long as the Tailwind was ongoing that it conjured, the pokemon was slightly limited in what it could do.

As such, Violet tried to keep up with everyone else in the shadow of a blazing chicken, while Frosmoth spun around in a Quiver Dance to increase its speed further again.

Or, well, she sees that Gallade is only a couple of meters away from reaching the finish line. The psychic-type was much quicker than his trainer, and he was bound to reach the finish line before her no matter what. Despite her leisure pace until now, it picks up at the prospect of managing to break a record.
