A MYSTICAL POKEMON APPEARS in your garden. it flies into numerous plants and trees, intangible, phasing out and in. it loops around several times, whimsically, until it finds a suitable treat. it reaches out for the berry, hands seemingly disappearing into it, causing the plant to instantly droop.

when it notices you, it flies straight into your body. just like that, you lose the will to speak about this encounter. you barely acknowledge it happened altogether. only the haunting echo of the pokemon’s hallowed giggle reminds you of what actually transpired.

it vanishes, suddenly, as if it was never there at all.

anytime you consider bringing this up, you lose your appetite, dazing off into an aimless daydream.

Serena wasn't normally sensitive to shifts in the atmosphere. Things could happen around her and her reaction time wasn't always the quickest. This time however, she felt the shift. Something was happening and she needed to find out what. Heading towards where her gut was leading her she ended up in her garden, only to have her jaw drop and her feet halt at what she saw. [break][break]

There it was, right before her eyes. Mesprit. Memories of her childhood flashed passed her eyes as she could remember the countless times she'd make up these stories to tell Adrian Malcolm about how she would run into Mesprit one day. How they would end up friends. How it was her dream just to get one glimpse. Whenever she had moments of uncertainty and her emotions were overwhelming, she thought of Mesprit and eventually fear and anxieties would cease. [break][break]

For Mesprit to be present in her garden was mindboggling as well as a pure honor. Her mind tried to comprehend what she was seeing. Mespirt....wanted a berry? By all means, they could have one. Serena didn't care how long she'd been slaving over these berries. Probably not the right way, but this was her first time gardening and she was proud of what she'd done. But before Mespirt, they could have their pick of the lot, Serena wouldn't object. [break][break]

The Rocket beast was purely overwhelmed. Her eyes started to prickle as her had flew to her mouth. Soon Mespirt noticed her and flew straight towards her. Serena felt unworthy to even gaze upon it's features but she couldn't turn away. Mesprit flew through her body and Serena felt another shift. It was strange. She had been so exciting thinking about how she would run to Adrian and tell him the news just for the desire to leave almost as soon as it had overcome her. [break][break]

Then it was silent. And Mesprit was gone. [break][break]

The place felt empty and Serena couldn't help but be disappointed. She'd wanted to have a conversation at least. Or for them to stick around a little longer. To perhaps be friends. With a sigh, she walked over towards her berries to take damage control. It all felt like a dream, but deep down in her heart she didn't want to believe that.

It's been a while since Serena had visited her garden. She could trust that the Deerling she'd received as a gift from her brother would take care of everything even without her being here. But for some reason today she felt like checking in on things. Perhaps to remember old times, happier ones when Cas was still around. [break][break]

Artemis mewed at her feet, seemingly sensing the shift in her emotions. "I'm good sweetie, no worries." a usual response from her, but this time she truly meant it. After all the events she'd recently gone through, she felt like having some time to herself and giving herself some space to think would do her some good.[break][break]

She scooped up Artemis in her arms and turned her attention towards Gwen. "Alright, so let's see your progress yeah?" She said as she walked over towards the shaded area and began to set up lunch for herself and her pokémon. Gwenom was in the process of learning a new move and she wanted to see how much she'd improved.[break][break]

"If you manage to successfully do the move I'll give you your favorite treat~" Serena said as she held up a container of spicy tots. That seemed to light a fire under Gwen as she quickly moved to the practice area where a training dummy was set up. She began to channel and focus after a moment before a pool of purple sludge began to form around her. Serena watched as she maintained her focus before shaping the pools of purple sludge into a ball. Once it was the size she wanted it to be with precision aim she flung the SLUDGE BOMB at the target.[break][break]

"Oh! You actually did it!" Serena said with a clap of her hands. Her other pokémon cheered for Gwen, happy for her too. Meanwhile Gwen was acting like it was no big deal for her. It was to be expected she would succeed. "Alright, alright, don't let it get to your head." she said as she opened the container for her. "Come have some food." she laughed.
