[attr="class","alex"]from the tall grass that surrounded the well—paved path — a pikachu emerged into the center. however her appearance was brief. as she faced the pair with curious eyes she just as quickly darted back into the green veil.

alex smiled. it would've been nice to have another companion but the urgency hadn't evoked the toss of a pokeball. instead he clutched the object within his hand and glanced over at the lycanroc. it was almost as if she understood.

they continued on their way.

a hand eventually settled on her fluffy crown. reaching into the mane that was accompanied by the few jagged features. "should i brush you when we get back home? i think you could use it." he smiled.

the lycanroc however — grumbled in a slight irritation. misplacing the wilderness that still watched them from the sidelines, the pair moved along. "or perhaps it'd do us some good to set up camp." alex suggested.

alex handed the lycanroc a snack as they watched the nearby pokemon. one tirtouga daring to inch just a bit too close. as such the little creature earned a near heart—wrenching glare from the beast. it seems she wasn't willing to share.

coming in—between a beast and her meal — no matter how small — was no joke. alex wondered how he'd gotten so far tempering with such a thing. perhaps the slight presence of patience in the midday form was what made it so forgiving. the other however...
