After the little enlightening cooking ‘class’ he had (with a very willing and curious student) this time the tables had turned… or had they been flipped over? Either way, Alexei was now reading the message trail with a concerned look on his features.[break][break]

Huh, that’s strange… who the hell had managed to get her number? He thought idly, wondering if there was someone who’d seemingly followed him when he went to visit her some time previous to share the ‘secret’ recipe of blini with her. But he hadn’t noticed anything too suspicious following him…[break][break]

…or was there?[break][break]

Truth be told, there was something that seemed very off with all this. Wrong. Like there was something that didn’t bode too well when he reread the message trail once more.[break][break]

“That’s strange…” he muttered, taking a bite of the burrito roll he’d ordered from a nearby stand while reading through the entire conversation again. How strange was it, to be getting letters by Pidove, candies, chocolate… but for some reason it didn’t sit right with him?[break][break]

There was something wrong with all of this, and he wanted to help Miss Isra get to the bottom of this.[break][break]

Although, there was something a little unusual—or was it just coincidence? The last time they’d met, he’d gone to her place around sunset, and now this was a little later in the evening—slightly before dinner. He was hoping they’d be able to get this down and done by dinner so he could bring her home once this was all said and done.[break][break]

But apparently, that was too optimistic an outlook…

There was only one appropriate response to this. At least for Isra.

She. Was. Pissed.

The woman didn't have the time to deal with this, let alone half the other stuff that had been on her plate recently and this was simply the sort of thing that tipped her over the edge. Enough so to bring her parasol with her after dark. Someone was going to learn the hard way that it served to do more than just protect her from the sun.

The familiar face in the crowd served to take a little bit off of her edge, not entirely however. He'd see the fury on her face no doubt, something he'd yet to see from her but it had only been a matter of time. "Thank you for meeting me here Alexei, I thought it might be better safe than sorry to have someone else here." mostly for the other person. She could handle herself well enough but she didn't trust herself to not go over board out of anger. They had her phone number, it allowed them to harass not just her but her house staff and it made her furious.

"What's your opinion on this?" Isra knew her's, and it worried her. She knew her position had potential to make her a target but so early? it could only be because of the reputation she had somehow started to gather in the area. There was no other possibility.

“I, for one would like to know how whoever this is got your number… and then figured out your address? It’s not like… it’s not like the League has this kind of information available readily for public use,” he said with a frown, nodding in her direction once she was close enough. In his other hand was a soft-wrapped taco, and just in case she needed to something to nibble on, attempted to give it to her.[break][break]

“You need something to eat, here,” he added a few moments later, holding the taco out to her while taking a bite of his own burrito. Once he’d downed his bite, he then turned to face her again—and noticed that for some strange reason, despite it being the evening she had a parasol with her.[break][break]

…or what looked like a parasol, but shit it looked rather pointy and deadly.[break][break]

“Wait, its evening. What’s the parasol for?” he asked her curiously, interest piqued and drawn to the item she brought along with her. “Weather tonight should be pretty good without any sign of rain…?”[break][break]

Clearly this avian hermit from Fortree paid attention to the weather a little too much at times. But anyway…[break][break]

“How long has this been going down?” he continued to ask her quietly, scanning the crowd for any signs of unusual activity. Partly due to his height he could see over much of the crowd so he could spot whoever was headed their way that acted suspiciously.

He handed her a type of food she didn't really eat normally and frankly, she was a little unsure about how to feel about it. Really, a taco shouldn't insight such a response but it did. She took it and just kind of looked at it for a moment, her fury silenced for just the moment before she returned to their conversation. "Thank you."

"The parasol is for purposes you may not want to know about ahead of time, just in case." she would keep it at her hip, connected to her belt until it was needed. That was about as much as he needed to know before she met up with the asshole that had been driving her nuts lately. She needed it dealt with and dealt with swiftly, it was the reason they were supposed to meet tonight. She was not going to let this go.

She couldn't get herself to sit with him, it was riling her up too much. "Long enough to be bothering me. Things happen but I can't be dealing with something like this right now, not with my position." she figured she didn't need to elaborate more. It was true double fold, there were too many things that passed through her hands to take this lightly.

A movement caught her eye, something out of place of the rest of the crowd and her eyes turned into steel again, looking back at him but keeping the movement in her peripherals. "There's a face over your shoulder I recognize, they haven't approached me but I've seen them on the sidelines. Too much." the well honed memory she sported gave way to such connections, she knew faces and even ones she saw in passing well. This one had been knew but happened over and over, given the circumstances it was unsettling.

The moment she’d mad a mention about the parasol, he decided not to pursue it further—because even if he had a suspicion what it could do, he was rather nervous to actually see it being wielded for something other than its intended purpose… but what could he do? He wasn’t sure if she was the type to carry some kind of pepper spray on her, but then again you never know when the fuck you’d get snuck up on and have to defend yourself.[break][break]

“Especially in a position like yours… I totally get it, I can see how much of a bother it can be. What does your boss have to say about the unwanted affectionate gestures you keep getting?” he asked, unable to help himself because there was this burning curiosity that wanted to know.[break][break]

“How much is too much,” he continues, wondering if he could maneuver himself to turn around so he could see who it was without giving himself away.[break][break]

He figured out a way to do it, actually: “You want something to drink?” he asked her in his normal voice before whispering a few moments later, “I’m going to actually get us something to drink so I can pick him out. See if I recognize them… or if they recognize me…” before moving away and heading over to the stand to get water for them both.[break][break]

Maybe with him moving away it would allow whoever this was to come sweeping in and approach where they were, so he could return and catch them in the situation and see what was going on in the first place?

She was grateful that she didn't have to explain further, it was kind of a given though wasn't it? Her position wasn't as glamorous as those above her but it made her a perfect way in. She wasn't interested in playing that game. Not without it being a part of a plan. She wasn't worried about it so much as worried about what would come of it if it pressed further, she could only assume the reason for the persistence was because of who she was.

Isra only nodded in response to his suggestion, they could talk about the part where she didn't mention it to her boss yet later. She wasn't about to rely on him when she could just as easily rely on herself.

Alexei walked away and she finally sat down, purposely making herself more of a target by seeming to be left alone and in a more vulnerable position. The movement that had caught her eye earlier shifted into the crowd well after Alexei had walked away, making sure he wouldn't return right away and interrupt their approach. She pretended to let her mind wonder to draw the would-be culprit in.

A quick glance Alexei's way hoped to have him follow when she got up, looking to guide the one now following her through the crowd to a more secluded area where they could be dealt with properly. Without more witnesses than she cared to deal with. A back alley would be perfect.

The original plan was to get some water for them both so that he could get way and eventually leave her enough as a target—he wasn’t expecting her to actually agree and go with the plan, more so trust him to let her handle it. Well, he supposed that was what the umbrella was for anyway.[break][break]

Mercifully the line at the stand wasn’t too short, and by the time he got to the salesman, he’d quickly asked for two bottles of water as well as some churros and on the side—having finished his own burrito while waiting for the crowd of people to clear out. All this time he was casually looking over at where she sat, deliberately making herself look like an open target.[break][break]

Not two seconds after he’d handed the money over to the guy and gotten the water and the churros did he see her stand up and then stare at him rather pointedly, before heading off in a certain direction—if it was going to have to take place somewhere a little less crowded, he’d roll along with it.[break][break]

Muttering a hasty word of thanks, he then pocketed his change and deliberately followed them, seemingly lagging behind until he saw the two duck down an alleyway…[break][break]

…shit, was she going for that?[break][break]

There was something bothering him, and he wanted to point it out—but decided that it was her problem and he was most probably going to be the witness if they had to take this shithead to court, so…[break][break]

Off he went, slipping through the crowd and eventually reaching the same back alley that they’d slipped into.[break][break]

This was about to get real good.[break][break]

The man that follows her rambles as they walk. Isra does not acknowledge him.

"I'm just such a huge fan miss Isra! I've seen your work as a member of the league and you work for a councilman and you're so gorgeous and mysterious!"

"Everyone would be a fool to not want to know you better! That's all I want!"

"where are you going? Please can we just talk, that's all i want i swear. I mean more would be nice if we could but-"

She turns on her heel just after she turns the corner, letting there be enough space to draw the would be offender in, though by what they are saying she's certain she's found her stalker. The parasol is against his chest in an instant, forcing him against the wall of the alley where she pins him.

"What's your name?" he struggles against her and she lowers the parasol a little farther down to the middle of his torso, pushing harder. His struggling will get him nowhere.

"J-john- please I just wanted to talk to you!"

Her eyes narrow because she does not believe him.

The movement is swift, faster than the untrained stalker is ready for. The parasol strikes him in the knee and is brought back up to his chest before he can fall, forcing him to stand on it. The scream is expected and does not bother her. The shaft of her parasol does not offer the same hollowness of a typical umbrella like item, it's filled and heavy from the metal. A strike from it will hurt to stand on and then some.

"I've no time for lies."

Her eyes won't move off the man that followed her when Alexei finally catches up. She's focused on the sniveling man and waiting for the other to follow up. Not because she needs his help but because she wants his opinion on whether he thinks the fool is a bigger threat or just an idiot. If left to choose herself Isra would sooner break her parasol on him than accept he might be something else.

He’d turned the corner in time to hear the other guy scream out loud because he’d been struck by the very same parasol that she was carrying—and only then did he understand why she had it with her.[break][break]

Why didn’t she go for the balls? He thought with a bemused grin on his face as he then came closer, his entire towering 6’2” frame nearly swallowing up the rest of the light that shone behind him in the alleyway.[break][break]

“Miss Isra, is this him?” he began, having pocketed the bottles of water (and the churros as well, thank the fuck it was served to him in a paper bag which was now resting in one of the pockets of his jacket) and turning to face the whimpering, blubbering mess.[break][break]

“Now, I don’t know how you got my coworker’s number, but you’re full aware that we can bring you in for harassment and stalking charges, right?” he continued, his voice having taken a turn for the creepy, a steely little glare flashing in his purple gaze.[break][break]

Letting the weight of those words settle in for a few moments, he then cleared his throat.[break][break]

“As you already full know, she’s a very busy person… she doesn’t like being disrupted with all manner of unnecessary interruptions, unless it’s from her boss…” he added a few moments later, seemingly reaching into his jacket to pull something out in a further point to hopefully threaten the other man to spill the beans and come clean.
