While it wasn’t exactly a date per se, it was definitely a night out between friends—he was surprised that she had accepted the invitation at all in the first place.[break][break]

“You cover the food, I’ll cover the entertainment? By that I mean I’ll provide the movies,” he added a few moments later, looking up at the same time she did and hearing something shrieking from within the hail storm. What surprises him next is that she flicks her hand skyward—and he knew that in that moment, his Skarmory is victorious.[break][break]

But of course there’s another threat out on the field now, and the sight of it makes him a little jealous.[break][break]

“Where’d you get that Hydreigon?” he inquired, keeping a wary eye on the draconid as it bellowed before flying up into the frigid weather. “Valk, be on the lookout!” he called out a few moments later, hoping the Skarmory heard him.[break][break]

The Skarmory, now fighting to stay airborne, heard her human’s voice, and with a burst of Agility, rights her course and prepares herself for whatever’s coming to face her in the mess. The looming shadow gives her a split-second to react before she lets out a frightened squawk before quickly lashing out with an attempt at Steel Wing.[break][break]

Still… the Skarmory could only hold out for so long.[break][break]

Skarmory rights flight course with Agility, sees looming shadow and lashes out with Steel Wing at the incoming shadow, hoping to take it by surprise.

"I'm sure I can manage that at least." Isra answers him, it's an odd arrangement she thinks. She feels like this is one of those things she's not supposed to be doing, something she shouldn't say yes to. She knows what she would have been told growing up about movies. They would have sent her back to the same dusty old tomes she had read a hundred times over and was bored of beyond belief.

Isra chose not think about that right now, it wasn't the time or place for the inner turmoil of twisting herself away from her family and the set course of her future. It was something to stow away and deal with later.

She whistles a command of sorts to her dragon and the three heads twist around as the listen through the hail for their opponent. Their energies begin to focus with the concentration, allowing them follow the coming attack when the pokemon announces itself. The strike against its skin is met with a rumble in their many heads before the three lash out in tandem together, the fire brewing in their bellies and expelling out before them in a magnificent fire blast.

"Oh? Armistice? He's been with me since I was a child. Have I never let him out around you?"

“You have a deal,” he continued with a grin and a wink, before turning his attention back to the mess up above—finally starting to peter out. If he did his math right, the Hail would dissipate completely the next turn—seeing as the conjurer was no longer on the field.[break][break]

A brilliant burst of light caught his attention—followed be a singular screaming noise from what he recognized to be a Skarmory. Never had he heard such a painful screaming noise coming from the avian, and he caught sight of the three heads breathing out a blast of super-heated flames—it didn’t look like a Flamethrower attack, how could it inflict so much damage?![break][break]

Shrieking as the Skarmory tried to fan her wings to quell the flames, the dual-type plummeted down from the sky—only saved by him quickly fishing out Valkyrie’s Pokéball and recalling her in a flash of red light.[break][break]

“You really don’t mess around, eh,” he acknowledged, returning the Skarmory’s Pokéball to his jacket before fishing around and finding what he was looking for. Once he had it, he then whistled in her direction befor saying, “Here, catch,” and throwing the tiny little thing across the field.[break][break]

Upright, it looked like a puffy little Jetstream, but if tilted on its side, it was literally a bird flying through the slipstream of the clouds above.[break][break]

“Congrats,” he added with a grin. “Let me know when we’re having that movie night, okay?”[break][break]

Isra chuckles at him, small and dainty. It settles her nerves a little, at least for now. She'll address the rest of them later when she has the chance to think about them properly. For now she has other matters to attend to.

The hydreigon lets out a triumphant call, his three heads sounding off as one with their glee. Isra grins, calling him back to his ball before he can get too riled up and start causing trouble in Alexei's arena. Though she does love letting the creature loose this is one case where she might actually regret such a decision.

Attention is back on Alexei when he whistles for her to look, catching the small trinket with ease. She opens it up in her palm and looking down at it she thinks it shouldn't mean anything. It doesn't, not as a badge. Isra does not see these challenges as something to put that much stock into. There will always be things much worse than that.

This means something because the first comes from someone that comes dangerously close to her makeshift heart. "Of course I don't Alexei."

She turns to leave with a grin on her face, because there is always more that needs to be done.

"Will do."
