ADMITTEDLY, he’d prefer to deal with her over a call or email but some matters prove too sensitive for text. this has to be handled in person, which is the only way she’ll find herself in the same room as him. for his loathing for her runs perpendicular to her family’s legacy. it flourishes under the undeniable awkwardness that comes from her attraction.

in some ways, it’s unnerving.

those more acquainted with the councilman will recognize his textbook behavior. despite answering her question, the information provided does little to solve her inquiry. it reveal what he’s comfortable with, forcing the other party to delve deeper or to drop it altogether.
