The damned bleach and silver dye was clinging to his hair for longer than he had thought. The act of being the weird kid from Kalos was also getting on his nerves, and his pokemon were a hot mess. The Haunter needed a leash basically, the Scrafty was even worse (cutting purses like he was mowing a lawn), and his poor Frogadier had to keep them all under control. Goro - no, Bucky - ran a hand through his bleached hair as he walked the forested area outside of the city it was named for Fortree.

Once they were outside the general vicinity of the city, Goro released all three pokemon. "You two," He began, glaring at Betty and Jay, "Have twenty minutes to go buck wild. Freddie, keep an eye on them. I'm going to try and relax." Goro finished, pulling out a pre-rolled joint of, ah, a special herb to calm his nerves. Peace at last. Using a pretty lighter, it had a cute little Torchick on the cover, to get the smoking going Goro took a long drag and sat his ass on the nearest stump. Arceus knows he needed this. He was going to some stupid audition soon and he didn't need his nerves bothering him. Lost in the haze, Goro didn't even hear the approaching sound of twigs and the like snapping.

It had so happened that he was out on the other side of the city now. Normally he’d find himself scouring through Route 119 looking for some Flying-types, but he figured he had more than enough to cover his team for the moment. Of course, he still had a rather sizable ‘to search for’ list to plow through, and that also meant he was looking for one of the few Dark-type that was also Flying.[break][break]

He hadn’t had any luck looking for a Murkrow, hell even a Honchkrow for some time now and that sucked ass so bad it really stung his pride. Ugh.[break][break]

Well, he wasn’t paying attention to the walking, and so he’d accidentally set off some of the twigs underneath, completely and totally giving away his location to whoever was nearby—which he only realized a few moments later.[break][break]

“Oh, crap,” he grumbled, smacking a palm to his face and then dragging it down as slowly as he could. Why had he done that? Great—now he was going to get spotted by whoever happened to be nearby—because from the corner of his eye he saw what he recognized to be a Scrafty, so he wasn’t too far off from looking now.[break][break]

Well, whoever owns that certainly has taste… he thought to himself, still mentally berating himself as he then emerged from the undergrowth a few moments later, apologizing all the way.[break][break]

“Sorry, wasn’t watching where I was—“ he began, before doing a take two and then blushing something indecent. Hoping that he wasn’t going to give himself away for staring a little too long (because shit that was a nice figure the other man had there, woo) he tried to hide the bottom half of his face in his scarf as best as he could manage while trying to cop the other man out as discreetly as possible.[break][break]

Could you blame him for gaping at the other?

The puff of smoke was lazily floating through the air, so carefree and light, Goro actually had his moment of peace. Only a moment, however. His Scrafty snuck up on him via the shadows of the underbrush, nearly causing him to drop the joint, and started frantically jabbing his fingers behind Goro. Muttering a curse or two under his breath as he took another hit and got off his stump, Goro was genuinely surprised to find someone else around. Even more surprising was what a looker he was.

They both had the same platinum (albeit Goro's was crudely dyed), tallish height, and... well, that was about it but hey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em - and that's exactly what this guy was doing... He assumed. "Ce n’est pas la mer à boi-" Bucky began in Kalosian, before finishing with his accented common speech, "I mean, it is no "biggie" deal." He added with quotation marks.

"That is the correct way to speak it, non?" Buck asked naïvely. Jay-Z, his Scrafty, wasn't too keen on the stranger though. He stayed in the shadows of the underbrush looking for rocks and the others. He took a drag off the joint before offering to the other man and asked, "Care to join me?"

Now, while Alexei didn’t know any other language from a region other than Unova and here in Hoenn, he was rather certain that… Kalosian didn’t sound like that.[break][break]

He knew, because he was in contact with one person who was from the region, and even that man’s own native tongue didn’t sound as rough as this…ooh, was he really copping the other guy out?[break][break]

While the other man’s hair looked more on the grayish-silver side of things, it was… it was actually the shoulders, and the arms, that really got him staring. Not knowing if he was looking long enough to be considered ‘rude’, he then blinked at the offer of the… wait a second. What was in that thing?[break][break]

“Uhm…” he began, holding his hands up. “Thank you, but I’m not a smoker,” he apologized. Hopefully the other understood! Hoping to avoid such an awkward topic, he then turned his attention to the Scrafty the other had with him.[break][break]

“Where’d you manage to find one of them? I’ve been looking everywhere for them here but I can’t seem to find any,” he continues, hoping the other hot-looking man would humor his question with a reasonable answer.

Goro shrugged at the stranger's decline and took another hit as the other man asked about his Scrafty. "Jay? Oh I caught him stealing some fish out of a fountain." Goro/Bucky said, his Kalosian accent still sprinkled throughout. He jerked a thumb back in the general direction of the fiend, who was running off into the bushes making odd sounds.

"He's - ah - an odd fellow." Goro added with a chuckle. "So, um, what are you doing out here?" He asked, his icy blue eyes looking the stranger over.

Jay was looking for Freddie and Betty, the two other pokemon Goro had let out to get some energy out. In the Scrafty's head, however, he had a devious plan forming and could hopefully get the other pokemon to join in. Probably the Haunter, she seemed to enjoy antics that annoyed their Trainer. The blue one, though, was quiet. Strict. Jay wasn't too sure how the Froakie would take it. Regardless, he'd need SOME help. He could have sworn he saw something shiny on that other Human.

Anyway, here he was hoping that he would be able to find something that he was looking for, at least. But who knew if he was going to get lucky because his luck had gone to shit these past few days…

goro shrugged and gave the stranger a one over. “sure. what are you doing out here anyway?” he asked, not really trusting strangers in the forest after his encounter with cait alfric of mauville. it left him on edge but goro was curious about the handsome man.

jay had found his prey. a little pink thing would be delicious. just as he was approaching a the unsuspecting skitty, a BIRD swooped down with a gust. bruised, the scrafty picked up the skitty and made a run for where his Human was.

and so out stumbled scrafty and the skitty rolling out from his grip, thinking it all a game. the pidgeot followed with another gust; suddenly a smokescreen appeared and a water pulse splashed within. when it subsided, pidgeo was wrapped in the frogadier’s tongue. “huh.” goro said nonchalantly before tossing a pokeball at the bird. the skitty just stood there in shock while goro’s scrafty approached from behind with a devilish grin.
