Greyson muses to himself while this happens, setting himself comfortably on a nearby tree stump as he watches. Time stops for no creature though, and inevitably, they must give their goodbyes.

Yet, when he leaves, the grass-type follows, chirping away gladly with the Swellow. Eventually, clearly impassioned to join his team, Greyson catches the Pokemon.

She chirps indigently but the Pikachu appears none the wiser. She replies in turn with an air slash that sends the Pikachu sprawling. Fearing a fight breaking out, Greyson tosses a Safari ball. He turns his attention onto the Swellow, chastising her with every step.

[attr="class","char-words"]Tidbit plucks a Berry from Greyson's hands mere moments before he takes a bite. The man scowls, but otherwise takes out another for himself, eyes narrowed to track the flitting emerald green bird. He watches her lift and then dive, disappearing into a nearby brush.

Curious, Greyson follows. Casting aside the foliage with a simple wave of his hand, he watches the Swellow share half of the berry with a crying Eevee.

His heart flutters at the interaction, and he soon joins the two, sharing his own berries. After a time, the sadness seems to have gone from the normal-type entirely.

As the Warden calls him back, he's smiling ear-to-ear thinking how he can help the Pokémon going forward.
