The SAFARI ZONE was not unlike the one she had visited in KANTO some time ago. At least here, however, visitors were allowed to bring in their own Pokémon. This was much better than lobbing bait and stones at wild Pokémon that caught her fancy.

With her TEDDIURSA in her arms, Laika Oak saunters through a serene forest at the heart of this territory. Its leaves glow in hues of yellow, orange, and red. Autumn is in full swing, and the magnificent sight of it brings a smile to the mortician's porcelain face.

A YAMASK was a tragic Pokémon by nature. This one had seemingly not gotten past the crying stage. Finding it in the dark forest they explored was not all that difficult.

When she realized her constant wailing was now being observed, however, that sadness shifted into scorn. The Yamask would glare at Laika and recite a terrible HEX. But, just before it could seize her, the woman would hold up her Teddiursa as a shield.

The little bear sucked at the honey coating its paw like a baby would a bottle. The HEX was rendered null and void against it. And, before the Yamask could do anything else, Laika launched her little bear at it and watched as it delivered some PAYBACK.

Afterward, the mortician would produce an empty ball from her pack and capture the forlorn ghost.

After setting down her Teddiursa for some playtime, Laika would take a small break for herself and sit on a nearby boulder. It wasn't long, however, before she realized Hati had gone out of sight. She calmly rises from her seat afterward to search for the little bear.

The disgruntled cry of a ZUBAT nearby points her in the right direction. She approaches the cave mouth just as the bat flies off above the tree tops. Then she scoops up her Teddiursa and resumes her trek through the Safari Zone.

She finds it pecking away at some mostly dried-up carcass of a Bug-type Pokémon. The MURKROW doesn't seem to notice her as she treads upon the soft grass and approaches it. It's only when the SWEET SCENT of her Teddiursa's paws reaches its nostrils that the little crow turns around.

Any other bird might have immediately flown off at the sight of a human crouching down beside it. But this one seemed more curious than anything. It watched as Laika poked at the carcass with a stick. Then cawed with interest when she reached into her bag for something.

It didn't flinch away from the empty ball she presented it. In fact, the Murkrow pecked at the shiny object and ended up activating its catching mechanism.

The STICKY WEB of a TAROUNTULA permeates the forest like a semi-translucent tapestry. Nothing has been caught in its web quite yet. But Hati, out of sheer curiosity, waddles forward to touch one of its strings.

The vibration ripples throughout the entirety of the web before its maker appears from the leaves of a nearby tree. After it attacks the bear cub with a BUG BITE, however, the force of said bite is PAID BACK in full. The spider loses a leg as a result, and scampers off before the baby bear can do any more damage.

The GIMMIGHOUL seemed ASTONISHED when Hati lifted up the boulder it was hiding behind. Both Laika and the bear cub had caught the glimmer of gold that had shone what little sunlight filtered through the clouds above. Now their interest had shifted drastically towards the little specter instead.

Just before it could RUN AWAY, the Teddiursa used its QUICK FEET to chase after it with COVET in her eyes. As the cartoonish chase ensued, Laika would produce an empty ball and cast it at the most opportune moment. It wasn't long before the ball clicked and announced her final capture at this safari excursion.
