Maybe it was an interest to get a better sight of the two liberated legendaries in battle against the Galarian variant birds, or maybe he had some hopes to encounter them. (In truth, his objectives weren't so selfish, but if the chance came along? It wasn't a loss in his book.) Schuyler found himself upon Mt. Pyre's path once more. This place felt less imposing to him than the last time. Was it the daylight? Or was it the admittedly clear skies? (See, he knew he wouldn't catch a glimpse, he wasn't worthy enough for the presence of mythical beasts.)

This place, unlike most of the region, did mean something for him. A dive into the darker depths, a chance to actually do something with his life. It symbolized opportunity.

With his Goodra at the ready, Schuyler readied himself to make his climb to the peak.

Eyes trained on the Mr Rime as a frown threatened to tug at the corner of his lips. The wild pokemon danced, twirled, and did its cheap hat trick to try and charm the pair. Schuyler's expression fell blank as he turned to the Goodra that found some delight in the show. A clear of its trainer's throat helped bring back the dragon's attention. Without any word, the Goodra sunk into its own shadow. The shadow of the Goodra soon slipped into that of the Mr Rime and dragged the admittedly amiable wild pokemon into its depths of the SHADOW SNEAK.

What a useful move for a non-ghost type.

"Good work," he complimented the dragon.

Not exactly what he was looking for, but they could find something more promising the further they trekked. A hand reached up to pat the dragon on the top of its head as the pair ascended further up the mountain.

Had the pair actually paid attention to the Bramblin that crossed their paths, they might have been ready for its assault. His Goodra was unfortunately sent flying at the Bramblin's use of RAPID SPIN. Schuyler furrowed his brow and gave the dragon the order to stand back up through clenched teeth. It could body a hit like that, he knew that.

"Dragon Breath."

Once the Goodra was to its feet, the dragon breathed in and shot an overwhelming gust towards the wild pokemon. The tumbleweed was sent flying like it was nothing. Schuyler approached his Goodra after the fact and carefully began to pluck the thorns that had lodged themselves into its slime-infused form. He made a mental note to go to the pokemon center after this ordeal.

Still nothing of note, but that didn't stop a curious mind from its search.

And just like that, another ambush found its way to the pair. Armor clanged together to announce the pokemon's appearance before it attempted to INCINERATE Schuyler's Goodra. Thankfully the warning came in time as he ordered the dragon to meet the attack with WATER GUN. The attacks seemed to simmer one another out to end in a draw. Both beasts still stood as steam dispersed between them.

"Water gun, and don't let up. Follow its every movements."

The Goodra followed the orders given, and shot at the Armarouge a few times. The armor-clad pokemon seemed nimble on its feet, but Goodra caught sight of that and did its best to predict its movements.

And just like that, it landed a direct attack. Following that, Schuyler finally threw his pokeball to snag the Armarouge.
