Knowledge gleamed from the EVENTS OF "GOODBYE GALAR" alongside intel from the region of Galar, have allowed both the Hoennian League and Team Rocket to create Dynamax Bands and Artificial Power Spots.[break][break]

The League has provided resources for gym leaders who wish to renovate their gyms to showcase the Dynamax Phenomenon. If a Gym Leader has not renovated for Dynamax, then they can disallow the use of the Dynamax Phenomenon.

THE DYNAMAX MECHANIC on site is differentiated thematically from other mechanics by focusing on its "anti-siege" elements. Dynamaxed Pokemon will defend or destroy story objectives, acting as a FORCED CHECK.[break][break]

To counter Dynamaxed Pokemon, mass focus fire may be required.[break][break]

This way, we believe the "Kaiju" fantasy can be preserved while preventing players from simply destroying a municipality like Dewford in their normal threads.

DYNAMAX / POWER SPOTS

THERE ARE DIFFERENCES between artificial and authentic dynamax/power spots.[break][break]

ARTIFICIAL DYNAMAX/POWER SPOTS:

• Created by the League or Team Rocket.
• Created by the imaginative powers of TERASTAL CRYSTALS.
• Most common form throughout Hoenn.
• Safer due to weaker potency of Dynergy.
• Wishing Stars can not be thrown into these Power Spots.

AUTHENTIC DYNAMAX/POWER SPOTS:

• Caused directly by ETERNATUS.
• May be exclusive to events.
• Allows for DYNAMAXING WITHOUT A DYNAMAX BAND.
• A Pokemon who dynamaxes WITHOUT A DYNAMAX BAND will die after they revert.

If a Pokemon has dynamaxed in ULTRA DEEP SEA before, they would not have perished. However, in recent times, it seems as if the Dynergy within Ultra Deep Sea has grown stronger and more lethal.

DYNAMAX LOCATIONS

THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS are the only places (boards) that have POWER SPOTS where one can dynamax a Pokemon.[break][break]

Please note that the characters and their Pokemon do not need to be in the immediate vicinity of the Power Spot to dynamax. As long as they are in the general area of the location and its outskirts, they can pull upon the Dynergy of a Power Spot with their Dynamax Band.[break][break]

DYNERGY BARRIER

WHEN A POKEMON DYNAMAXES, they may be able to receive a PROTECTIVE BARRIER. These barriers can be upgraded to have MULTIPLE SEGMENTS like in the image above.[break][break]

Breaking the DYNERY BARRIER is pivotal to stop a Dynamaxed Pokemon from achieving their goals.

• ONE-HIT KNOCKOUT MOVES (OHKO) like FISSURE will destroy TWO SEGMENTS of a DYNERGY BARRIER.
• A ONE-HIT KNOCKOUT MOVE can be used to break a DYNERGY BARRIER and its segments only ONCE against a Dynamaxed Pokemon. Subsequent OHKO moves will fail against the Dynergy Barrier.
• MULTI-STRIKE MOVES will only destroy ONE SEGMENT of a DYNERGY BARRIER. However, the Dynamaxed Pokemon will incur some damage.
• When the Dynergy Barrier breaks, the Pokemon reverts to normal form.

A Dynamaxed Pokemon can have a MAXIMUM OF 8 BARRIER SEGMENTS. A Dynamaxed Pokemon starts with DYNERGY THREE BARRIER SEGMENTS.[break][break]

Additional Dynergy Barrier Segments can be obtained by purchasing/obtaining a DYNAMAX CANDY and applying it to the Pokemon.[break][break]

The cost of DYNAMAX CANDY will be tiered, meaning the more Dynergy Barrier segments unlocked, the more expensive the next tier will be. However, periodically, these candies will be rewarded, bypassing the monetary cost.

GIGANTAMAX

POKEMON WITH GIGANTAMAX FORMS do not unlock them immediately. Instead, they must unlock their GIGANTAMAX FACTOR by feeding them MAX HONEY.[break][break]

Max Honey can be purchased from the Site Shop.[break][break]

Gigantamaxed Pokemon also gain access to G-MAX MOVES. If the Gigantamax Pokemon has a damaging move of a certain type, the move will become their exclusive G-MAX MOVE rather than the regular corresponding MAX MOVE.

LORE TIDBIT: it is believed that gigantamax forms are evidence that eternatus and its dynergy are responsible for introducing mega stones on hoenn centuries ago.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS below in order to procure your DYNAMAX BAND.[break][break]

• To acquire your Dynamax Band, purchase it from the SITE SHOP.
• You can only dynamax once per thread and the transformation lasts for three posts/temporary period of time.
• A Pokemon CAN NOT be mega evolved and dynamaxed at the same time. They also can not use a Z-MOVE, TERASTALLIZE, or be connected to an ACTIVE SYGNA SUIT on at the same time.
• SHADOW & ILLUMINA Pokemon can dynamax. Shadow Moves do NOT HAVE MAX MOVE COUNTERPARTS.

WHILE DYNAMAXED, POKEMON GAIN THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:

• The Pokemon is cured of any previous status ailment(s) before dynamax.
• Dynamaxed Pokemon can not dodge and are immobile.
• Dynamaxed Pokemon immediately erect a DYNERGY BARRIER. Please mark in your post's notes how many DYNERGY BARRIER SEGMENTS your Pokemon has.
• Dynamaxed Pokemon are bulkier, gaining additional durability.
• Dynamaxed Pokemon have more raw power, gain access to MAX MOVES and their attacks can not be blocked entirely (e.g. Protect, Baneful Bunker).
• Dynamaxed Pokemon are IMMUNE to moves and abilities that force them to return to their Pokeball such as ROAR and WHIRLWIND. They will still take damage from moves like DRAGON TAIL.
• Power Spots can only provide enough energy for TWO POKEMON FROM TWO DIFFERENT TRAINERS to Dynamax in a thread. However, this limitation can shift depending on the event.
