 IN EARLY JUNE, sightings of TWO CANID POKEMON that have fled the ailing Galar region begin streaming into League and Rocket Headquarters. These Pokemon are widely believed to be powerful entities, relative unknowns shrouded in twisting, expanding mythologies that obfuscate the nature of their existence. Though, it is possible that their names are known, passed down by the thinnest threads memory: ZACIAN & ZAMAZENTA.[break][break]
 Although they are seemingly taking refuge in Hoenn, what prompts both factions to react with severe urgency is the involvement of two never before seen Pokemon. One sports a large, ritual vessel on its head, while the other wields broken blades tipped in sharp ice. Thanks to gathered intel, such as Tempest Quinn's REPORT, both factions identify these Pokemon as horribly powerful forces from The Border: a mountainous purgatory accessible via a primal rift on Mt. Pyre.[break][break]
The Pokemon clash beside the ANCIENT TOMB ON ROUTE 120 in a fierce contest over what appears to Zacian & Zamazenta's sword and shield....

RELEVANT THREADS
THE FOLLOWING THREADS have connections of varying degrees with this event. Please note that this list of threads is not comprehensive.
For this event, there are two raid threads:
RAID 1: RUSTED SWORD
 WHEN YOUR TRAINERS ARRIVE, the Zacian has been severely weakened by a TING-LU. Its sword has been torn away, rusted and in the process of being corrupted by the Vessel of Ruin...[break][break]
Before you can intervene properly, the RUSTED SWORD pulses with a terrifying force that pales the skin and plunges your souls into fissures of ceaseless fear before being drawn into the artifact itself. When you come to, you find yourselves in a twisted version of GALAR: a region rendered hostile by tarnished memories.[break][break]
To escape, you must fight your way out of the ruined kingdom and save Zacian before it's too late... After all, who knows how long you will be trapped here, for time flows differently within new artifacts of ruin compared to the outside world.
RAID 2: RUSTED SHIELD
 WHEN YOUR TRAINERS ARRIVE, the Zamazenta has been severely weakened by a CHIEN-PAO. Its shield has been ripped away, rusted and in the process of being corrupted by the Sword of Ruin...[break][break]
Before you can intervene properly, the RUSTED SHIELD pulses with a hateful force that boils the blood and splits the skin and bone with absolute malice before being drawn into the artifact itself. When you come to, you find yourselves in a twisted version of GALAR: a region rendered hostile by tarnished memories.[break][break]
To escape, you must fight your way out of the ruined kingdom and save Zamazenta before it's too late... After all, who knows how long you will be trapped here, for time flows differently within new artifacts of ruin compared to the outside world.
OOC EXPLANATION
THIS IS A RAID EVENT where characters post every round, attempting actions and/or responding to prompts or scenarios present within provided MODERATOR POSTS. Oftentimes, characters must make use of the ROLL command, which can determine the success of actions and/or create narrative tension.
Although this event is a DEATH-ENABLED event, death is highly unlikely within this scenario. However, the IC-stakes of the event will place the characters in certain peril. Ample warning will be given for possible deaths—and players can collaborate with me if they would like to craft dramatic moments like sacrifices, etc.[break][break]
IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to take advantage of this event to connect with new characters and to step out of your comfort zones. These events often act as a springboard for a variety of plots in its aftermath, with consequences that impact the wider site narrative and/or setting.[break][break]
Do note that this is NOT A ROCKET VS LEAGUE faction-based event.[break][break]
There is a high chance of a dramatic TIME-SKIP occurring within this event, which does not affect the timeline outside this "alternate" Galar.[break][break]
Lastly, to temper expectations... ZACIAN & ZAMAZENTA WILL NOT BESTOW AVATARSHIP in this event. This is also NOT THE RUINATION.
