THE HOENN BUREAU OF INTELLIGENCE AND COUNTERTERRORISM (HBIC)

EVER GRANDE CITY

The HOENN BUREAU OF INTELLIGENCE AND COUNTERTERRORISM, shortened to HBIC, is a public agency of the Hoennian government. Its primary function is the defense of the region. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Intelligence gathering of both internal and foreign affairs
• Data analysis for the planning of small- and large-scale operations
• Execution of, or assistance in, the aforementioned operations
• Monitoring former members of Team Rocket who have reintegrated into society

Officially, the HBIC operates within the law of the Hoennian government. However, off the record, agents are permitted to use excessive force in completing their missions.

On the surface, the HBIC is the shield of Hoenn. But when necessary, it also acts as the region's sword.

POSITIONS

Characters may be employed by the HBIC in a variety of positions. Some of them are listed below.

• DIRECTOR - The Commissioner, or another member of the League Council in charge of the entire agency.


• ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - Managers who oversee different divisions within the HBIC, such as National Security, Intelligence, Science and Technology, Criminal Investigation, Human Resources, IT, Administrative Support, Finance, etc.


• CASE OFFICER - Managers of special agents. They set up contacts, fabricate cover stories, recruit prospective agents, and oversee training.


• SPECIAL AGENTS - Also known as spies, these individuals carry out operations in the field.

OOC INFORMATION

The HBIC is an amalgamation of several real-world organizations: the FBI and the CIA of the United States, and MI6 of the United Kingdom. It takes inspiration from these organizations' structures, operations, and portrayals in fiction.
