Shalin gasped for air as she found herself on a ship, rough surf tossing their small vessel about. Had she not had experience riding unruly Pokémon trying to send her flying, she may have been thrown overboard herself. "I... think I'll... be okay..." she slowly managed, stumbling to her feet during a lull in the wind.

That lull wouldn't last long; a loud thundercrack served as the herald of pitch black storm clouds. "Raikou...?" Shalin namedropped the Johtonian god of speed as she froze, the first electric-type god coming to the Johtonian's mind. As the clouds billowed and descended, it was apparent that it was a different thunder god they had crossed paths with. Certainly not one as noble as Raikou, one who, according to Johtonian folk tales, often tested humans by letting them get very close.

Her hair standing on end, the girl attempted to turn the vessel away from the Thundurus. "Our humblest apologies," she began to grovel before the floating, ultrafast god. "We did not mean to invade upon your territory. We were merely passing through the seas. If this is your domain, we will turn away from it and chart an alternate course to our destination."

- Appease the thunder god.

[attr="class","inner-finally"]There are many tales that come to mind with the gathering storm: The thunderbird, the sky serpent, the ocean wyvern, the lightning soul. The pokemon that descends upon them matches none of their descriptions, and leaves her silent for a moment. No, she isn't completely ignorant of who they might be. After all, she had seen it wandering around in Lilycove during that tournament earlier this month.[break][break]

Beside her, Shalin immediately prostrates herself, starts speaking with every intent to get as far away from this legend as possible.[break][break]

"That look in your eyes." But Eris is simply wired differently, fears all swallowed by the waves as she meets their gaze. "Are you looking for something?"[break][break]

They don't seem pleased but they sure aren't aggressing them. Just like the last time, storms and lightning trail in their wake, but they seek not destruction.[break][break]

"We came from land ourselves." Here goes nothing, a bet that relies upon this simulation possessing similar goals. Most boats are created on land. Ones as functional and structurally sound as this one, at least.[break][break]

"Surely you'd find it too if you go in the direction from which we came."

With Shalin's groveling and Eris' guidance, the Thundurus passed the duo, taking its lightning and wind with it. The waves are calm, their vessel no longer in danger of being capsized. With a hair-raising stare, the deity soared away from them with physics-defying speed. "...Couldn't have done it without you. Thank you."

Stepping onto dry land, Shalin released Treble from his Poké Ball and hopped on once again, glad to be in control of how she moved about again. "That Pokémon from the tournament..." she mused, having watched the entire awards ceremony after ollie morales bumped her off the podium in the event's waning hours. "It will need to be monitored. But not now. I'm exhausted. Let's go home."

Little did she know what time it would be once they were out of the simulation. For on the Net, one's sense of time was easily distorted...
