OPTIONAL SEELE RECRUITMENT PROMPT

THE BRIEFING

YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN to be a part of something larger than yourself. Whatever 'it' is, it has researched you and watched you. It has studied your movements, moods, history, skill set, and, more importantly, your influence, in great detail to come to this final assessment. But its means of recruiting you are... odd, to say the least.

To maintain strict secrecy amidst the general public of Hoenn, and lose the trail of those who would seek to pull SEELE out from it down to its roots, no induction is exactly the same. At the end of a thread in your location of choice (in one post), or in the SEELE EXHIBIT board, roleplay the strange scenario that serves as an invitation into the organization for your character. But adhere to these guidelines:

No double-posting outside of the SEELE EXHIBIT.
Your character's induction must remain a strictly private affair.
At the end of the induction, your character must somehow receive a SEELE ROTOM (NPC) that will haunt them as long as they remain in SEELE.
The SEELE ROTOM (NPC) will introduce your character to SEELE (see IC EXPLANATION; SEELE) as a means of invitation. This introduction can happen in SEELE's virtual world after accessing a SEELE TELEPHONE BOOTH.
When the invitation is accepted, your character will receive the (OOC'ly) preapproved TAROT CARD DESIGNATION from the SEELE ROTOM (NPC).
When the invitation is accepted, your character will designate an OBJECT OF POWER for themselves when asked by the SEELE ROTOM (NPC). It will scan this object or scan your character if not available.
The SEELE ROTOM (NPC) hardly speaks outside of this.

But more importantly? Tell us— the readers— WHY your character would join this organization in the first place, and what their true motives are.

special mechanic: having trouble coming up with an idea for a 'strange scenario' in this case? there will be a randomizer/generator in here shortly to help come up with prompts, but here are a few:

A murder of MURKROW torment you.
You receive strange phone calls.
You find a strange and unsettling VHS tape.
You keep receiving strange and seemingly nonsensical letters/messages.
You keep waking up at 4:44 AM for seemingly no reason.
An ABSOL stalks you.
A LAMPENT stalks you.
You experience strange dreams. (HYPNO)
You answer a strange wanted ad that seems pointed at you.
You find a puzzle box on your doorstep.
You find a strange doll that keeps coming back despite being thrown away. (BANETTE)
There seems to be something in the walls of your home.
You have a bizarre experience with a HEX GIRL/BOY in a lonely place.
