Who brought together SEELE? How did it form? Nobody knows. The person (or persons?) standing at the center of it remains cloaked in SHADOW and SILENCE. All that is known is that, in its current iteration, it has formed here: in HOENN. And, very purposefully, only they know the true identities of all of its members.[break][break]

If you aren't a part of SEELE, then its existence at all is likely completely UNKNOWABLE to you. SECRECY is valued above all else here; SEELE does not EXIST. You do not EXIST within it.[break][break]

SEELE is primarily meant to serve as a medium for IC DISCUSSION between characters who might not otherwise speak to each other on such matters. Reflection on current EVENTS/HAPPENINGS on HOENN is greatly encouraged; particularly when involving the CREATION TRIO/THE DRK TRIAD and how all the pieces of HOENN's puzzle may come together.[break][break]

HEATED DEBATE and CLASHING IDEOLOGIES are to be expected from time-to-time as well. For that reason, the VIRTUAL MEETING SPACE that SEELE operates within is its own battleground in a sense. Its members are free to collaborate on behalf of HOENN or humanity, try and sway each other into different views of thinking, spread misinformation on behalf of their faction, glean important information from opposing forces, or attempt to discern identities despite SEELE's rules on discretion and secrecy.[break][break]

If you've had your character accepted into SEELE, you are likely already expected to abide by all the usual rules of ROLEPLAYER CONSENT and general MINDFULNESS when it comes to potentially sensitive plots such as these. You are also TRUSTED to play around with this concept as you see fit and test its boundaries.[break][break]

The reasoning for your character's involvement and motivations in SEELE is really whatever you make it. While I'll be slowly running a LOVECRAFTIAN/GOTHIC HORROR MYSTERY genre plot beneath the intrigue of it all, wherein participation is entirely OPTIONAL, the group is mainly focused on the aforementioned and will forever remain largely MEMBER-LED.
