Elise has seen the F-shaped Unown follow her in the cold. She thinks that Fortuna isn’t bothered and the ambassador knows Fortuna would do anything to protect her trainer from harm. Shifting the jacket to shield herself from the wind, the Galarian royal looks over to the floating shiny Unown, making sure that Fortuna is close to her.[break][break]

Nomi had been nice enough to give her a bit of tips into how Unown battle. These Pokemon only had one move though training one wouldn’t be difficult. The royal ambassador takes to the road in the middle of the icelands, one that she wouldn’t slip on. Fortuna keeps an eye on any wild Pokemon they come across.

The Galarian ambassador can’t believe this. She tries to rein in her anger with all the composure she had as a royal diplomat. Her cousin probably had to deal with difficult individuals like Mr. Silph, the Head of the Council’s Foreign Relations. [break][break]

“Are you insinuating that Calyrex’s choice is a mistake? That I am unfit to have bestowed his shard because I do not prioritize Hoenn and her people?”[break][break]

Unbending to the intimidating questions, the councilman asks if the Calyrex shard would still stay with her and still claim her to be its entrustee.[break][break]

“I imagine he would not if I leave Hoenn for half a year, but the High King will still have his belief in me.” [break][break]

Whims of a legendary Pokemon were hard to read, she can only hear if it won’t have its shard come with her back to her home country.

Those two questions really are what matters in the battlefield. The ambassador knows as much, there were Rockets that would do all the dirty tricks to make their crafted lies believable. Her cousin had always brought her exercises on whether she still naively believed in things that weren’t true. Deception was as dangerous as the weapons that Rocket brings to hurt people.[break][break]

“I cannot tell because I am not a mind reader, but Remiel Calcifet and the League’s Calyrex has always taught me that I can’t believe what I’m always told.” She’ll think on it a little too. It was a bit hard to tell whether a Rocket would want to get out of there unless they would use that excuse to deceive and kill her in battle.[break][break]

“No, it’s not my royal upbringing.” At least, the ambassador doesn’t think so. She’s far from being a sheltered princess now. “It’s my selfless nature that causes me to be careless and bring down my guard.”[break][break]

And someday, it might kill her if she kept being selfless to a Rocket that will use that kindness.[break][break]

“In a war like we are in now, that will most likely get me killed if a Rocket decides to stab me in the back after I helped them.”

The councilwoman had taken the plunge into using a bomb and since it’ll help them in uncovering more of the Ultra Desert, Elise quickly returns both her Illumina Skitty and Aerodactyl to protect both from the explosion. Luckily, Silverio’s Nidoking had used its tail to save its trainer from the bomb’s impending explosion and there was a moment to act before the bomb detonates.[break][break]

In a split second, the shard of Calyrex breaks free of his Dive Ball to act as the princess’ shield. He uses the psychic energies within his glowing green bud to create a Protective blue spherical barrier, one that envelops both the royal ambassador and himself in an effort to help her take cover from the bomb’s detonation while the Calyrex glows in a shining blue aura.[break][break]

“Thank you, Charles.” Elise breathes out a sigh of relief while she’s inside the barrier with the shard. “If you hadn’t done that quick thinking, I would’ve been caught in it.”

"You might be correct that I should not butt into other people's business, but when you're the one that's committing a crime under my city's jurisdiction, it is my duty to see justice through."[break][break]

As much as she’d dislike it that Rocket would hurt her little hare prince, Elise had no choice but to accept it. A shard that worked for the League’s side would easily be plucked off like the real Calyrex. The Psychic stalemate that her shard was doing with the feathers would be broken as it appeared to be a bit stronger than the shard was. Incidentally, the ambassador herself was being threatened with an attack from the masked Rocket’s dagger.[break][break]

She realizes the danger that both her and her shard are in and quickly releases both her Mismagius and Spectrier to help with their protection. Her Mismagius moves to cloak her mistress in a Phantom Force while the mare’s speed intercepts the sharp feathers with a Psychic, intent on protecting the Calyrex shard from being pierced because of the Freezing Glare’s immobilization. [break][break]

The ambassador and her Mismagius reappear next to the Calyrex’s side. Elise hopes that by sticking close to the shard, she’ll increase her odds of survival with protecting the shard of Calyrex too.

Despite how bulky looking the Probopass was, one can’t be deceived by its looks. It rose into the air to dodge the orb of dark which Elise expected. A gym leader wouldn’t make it easy for the challenger to walk all over their Pokemon. [break][break]

“You can handle this without my orders too.” The Galarian royal speaks to her friend, the Mismagius that she had bonded with ever since she was the one to be relied on as her partner Pokemon. A grin comes from the witch-like ghost as the earth brings shrapnel and rock to hit her.[break][break]

While the female Mismagius avoids a lot of the debris from the Probopass’ Earth Power, she ignores the small pain that comes from a small sharp flint that grazes her side of the ‘robe’ body. [break][break]

A Mystical Fire conjures up flames casted by the Mismagius that the blue fires of intense heat threaten to damage the Probopass sent out by the Mossdeep gym leader.[break][break]

The shard watches the battle closely. The bulbous headed prince tries to study the movements of the ghost and files them away for fighting in his next training session.

Elise had woken up in the middle of the night by the paw of her Calyrex shard and she worries herself in looking down at the rabbit prince. It seemed that he too would have suffered the same nightmare she had and as she turns towards the sleeping form of her handsome red-headed knight, the ambassador is glad that she’s able to get the comfort of having his warm body next to hers.[break][break]

She had stayed for the night at her father’s Rustboro estate rather than to sleep in her own room in the house she shared with her roommate. Perhaps all Elise wanted was to have the warm and gentle hold of her beloved boyfriend.[break][break]

“I love you, my sweet knight.” Her voice is almost a soft whisper when she presses a softer kiss on his cheek to Cadeyrn Osmond before moving off the soft queen sized bed. Along with the shard, she goes out of the estate’s front door and into the garden of roses that her father carefully tends to.[break][break]

“The stars are different tonight.” The Galarian princess looks up to the sky filled with stars as Charles looks up too. “And that one cluster looks almost like a fairy, doesn’t it?” She points up to the one grouping of stars and the shard of Calyrex nods. [break][break]

“I do not know when you'll get your true form, but if I show how much I've improved as an ambassador to the League's Calyrex... Your form will help us turn that tide when war reaches Rustboro City.”[break][break]

She wished so much that the forms Calyrex takes would be the power to help her fight to protect Rustboro City and further assist the League in a war-torn Hoenn.

The Elite Four were the toughest trainers Hoenn has to offer in their challenges aside from the gym leaders. Kyle’s death meant that the Top Champion now had to get used to her role. Aside from being a leader or monarch of a country, the Top Champion position was a big burden for that person involved. Elise knew that too, even if she’s only the Galarian ambassador to Hoenn. [break][break]

It was a position that she had way bigger shoes to fill ever since Remiel left the seat. She saw how happy he was to be an archaeologist and didn’t have to worry about the politics of their home country.[break][break]

"I see. I’m very glad that the Mauville Racing Grounds will continue on if you get accepted with your application.” Elise breathes out a sigh of relief when she hears that the racing grounds won’t go away. “But I won’t tell anyone, not a soul. It’ll be hush hush until you formally announce your promotion and after that, I may have to take up your Elite Four challenge.”

Josh mentioned the shiny Zeraora that accompanied him and the princess gives a nod to the gym leader. “Yes, I’ll take Zaborg with me too.” With electricity from one of his thunder cats, it would be enough to get the generator going. Elise takes the Pokeball that Josh gives her and goes down to the lower level where the generator would be. [break][break]

Descending down to the stairs of the basement, the ambassador can hear the sparks coming from the generator itself. “Okay, let’s get to work now.” She presses the button on her Yamper’s Dusk Ball and the corgi comes out to wag her tail. “You too, Zaborg.” And again, the ambassador sends out the shiny white Zeraora from his Pokeball where he stood tall next to her.[break][break]

Josh even told her that he thinks both sides committed war crimes. She doesn’t know much about the Hoennian Commissioner apart from her having more experience in being a leader. The fact that the Commissioner would be valuing total victory over the eradication of Rocket was a bit odd, maybe Elise hasn’t gotten a good picture of what Dahlia was like.[break][break]

“Well, I do not know the Commissioner dahlia goode herself personally aside from her giving me a phone call to my embassy once when the event at the League’s Dyna Tree came to summon me to greet the Calyrex, so…I will hold my tongue when I meet her in person.” She’d be careful in choosing her words because Hoenn was a foreign place and it wasn’t her country. “It is not my place to talk recklessly about the Commissioner herself since I know my place as a foreign ambassador.”[break][break]

An international incident was not what she wanted. Respect for a foreign leader, especially Commissioner Goode, was paramount in her stay in Hoenn. Remiel has assured that he had supported the Commissioner and the League himself.[break][break]

She holds onto the back of her former boss when the ashen Raikou started to prance around the field. Her shard holds onto her own back too when he sat on the Raikou’s back and feels the bouncing coming from the large feline Pokemon. It wasn’t the real thing, but Elise really felt the small glimpse of speed that the Raikou gives in spite of the legendary taking care not to agitate the pain in Josh’s arm.
