Elise is a kind, helpful, and a very introverted person. She likes the company of her Pokemon, but doesn't mind making friends with other people if she deems them to be friendly enough. Being descended from Galarian royalty on her father's side who now live in an estate in Hammerlocke and her mother being one the former Kimono Girls in Ecruteak City, she's been connecting more with her mother's Johtonian heritage than her father's. Her introverted demeanor means that she’s a little distrustful and could take some time to warm up, but she's very loyal to the people she comes to trust later on.[break][break]

Due to her upbringing from her father, she's a refined and proper woman who doesn't skip out on her manners. She's not one of those snobs who look down on people as Elise does not feel contempt for the people considered to be lower by her father.[break][break]

Born and raised in Ecruteak City to a good mother and an overbearing father whose lineages were something the young girl would be raised in, she grew up watching her mother perform in the theater while her father didn't appear to approve of his daughter watching such performances and preferred for the girl to stay inside the large estate. Elise was always not the sort to follow in her father's footsteps in his family legacy at the age of five, so she was raised by maids and butlers in the home. At the time of her seventh birthday, she's given her three starters: a Misdreavus and Eevee from her mother's Mismagius and Umbreon while the Fuecoco came from a gift from her mother's friends. Her mother's maternal lineage from her grandmother to the ancestresses of her maternal side of the family were Ecruteak priestesses said to have inherited divine clairvoyant powers from the gods where they used Psychic type Pokemon to receive divine visions from the rainbow bird they call their deity they were devoted to. Her mother's side of the family that worked as spirit mediums were also able to communicate with Ghost type Pokemon well and channel spirits, an inherent ability inherited through the female bloodline.[break][break]

Her only friend was her mother's Mismagius, a friendly ghost Pokemon and affectionate to the small girl she was protecting. The young girl's time at school wasn't the best, she was judged solely on how she looked and had the other children shun her from their circles. Years passed into her adolescence where she put more focus in graduating high school with good grades and going somewhere when she was older, so the young teenager would make her mother proud.[break][break]

Around the time of her seventeenth birthday, the attempted Johto invasion from Team Rocket happens in an attack on Ecruteak City. Through her parents' fear for her safety, she fled with her family to her father's birthplace in Galar, the royal capital of Hammerlocke where they stay for a year until she makes the decision to stay in Hammerlocke at an old royal estate her father passed down to her than returning to Johto.[break][break]

She returns to Ecruteak City in three years to visit her parents and takes the gym challenge in Johto briefly, earning four gym badges. While coming back to Hammerlocke after the trip to her mother's home country, she gets to attend high society parties and royal balls. Two years later with living in Hammerlocke, the woman embarked to Hoenn, made her home in Lilycove City in a modest house, and resolved to become a better trainer to uphold her mother's legacy.
