War was still making her feel anxious even after the Petalburg-Sootopolis war ended with Petalburg City falling to Rocket’s hands. She mentally curses herself since she was there when Petalburg fell. The ambassador wishes that she was stronger in preventing the former League owned territory to fall into enemy territory.[break][break]

Since her induction into Project SAPPHIRE and being mentored by paxton concordas , the director has always cautioned her that Rockets were not going to be reasoned with. Navy probably was the same, he specifically told her that she should show Rocket that compassion isn’t a weakness in itself.[break][break]

Which was why Elise takes her visit to noah faber ’s gym in Verdanturf. She knows where it is since she has gotten its badge already.[break][break]

It did feel like yesterday that she had met Noah for the first time near Jagged Pass. The sound of the gym’s cast iron rang like music to her ears, almost like she had stepped into the routine of someone in exercise. Her Calyrex shard looks up at the company that greeted her with unreadable deep blue eyes, almost curious of the man that talked casually to his handler.[break][break]

“Hello Mr. Faber.” She doesn’t feel the least bit awkward when addressing him as formally as she would, Noah was a gym leader and she was in a right to give him respect. “Well, I was hoping that you would help me train further, but I do not require a gym battle, seeing as I’ve already gotten your badge. It will be of vital importance that I get much stronger after the last Petalburg war to help defend Rustboro with CIAN MAHER.”[break][break]

With her ambassadorial job being busy, she probably hadn’t seen anyone to ask to train much. The reminder of Petalburg’s fall really took its toll, especially since Shalin Nariya was captured right under her nose. [break][break]

“And it does feel like it was yesterday that we’ve met for the first time too. I hope you are doing well yourself.”

She knows that war has changed a lot of people since it started with the Petalburg-Sootopolis one. Loyalties has been tested in the League since some people weren’t very happy with how Sootopolis had turned out. Elise still is on the League’s side firmly because of her country being allied with it. [break][break]

Rocket would think it’s a folly. Galar wouldn’t care much for Hoenn if the Queen can’t help it.[break][break]

“Well… I suppose being forgiving is my one weakness when I battle Rocket.” She greets Noah’s Machamp with a wave while the Calyrex shard does a little princely bow in front of the Machamp too. Her attention focuses entirely on the gym leader while there were some times that she could have not been so lenient in letting a Rocket go off freely. “But if you wanted something general… My reluctance to fight came from almost killing that Megalopolan and her strange legendary Pokemon, the one that looked like a Pecha berry.”[break][break]

She remembers the words that came from her friend. How he had given his disappointment because she would be so willing to kill after she had gotten out of that hellhole prison.[break][break]

“I’m very terrified of becoming a killer. I greatly dislike having to hurt others without a legitimate reason.”[break][break]

The Galarian ambassador expresses her greatest worry and fear too, terrified that she will give in to being a murderer again if rage had taken over.

There were millions of questions running in one’s mind when one thinks how a Leaguer should be dealing with Rocket. For someone whose country was allied with the League, Rocket shouldn’t expect forgiveness from the way they do things. She probably had gone soft, given that her cousin was a former Rocket and had gone through the Amnesty program.[break][break]

Evidently, the Galarian ambassador thinks of Remiel Calcifet having a Rocket bounty on his head. He is her family and they both share the same blood with his siblings. Maybe that’s why she tended to be forgiving, even if there were Rockets who were loyal to the cause of Rocket.[break][break]

“Mr. Faber, I have never taken a life before, so I confess it will be difficult to think what I’ll do in that scenario."[break][break]

The princess admits, probably because had she taken the life out of the Megalopolan general in the prison, people will draw their ire towards her.[break][break]

“But if your scenario is a situation of life or death… Then, I will fight to survive in the battlefield.”

She always had the assumption that Rocket wouldn’t target her much, much less a Calcifet that wasn’t on their hit like like Remiel. Nonetheless, the Galarian royal had been captured once before in a situation that called for her cousin to save her from her being held at the detainment cell. The prince had searched for her in every bunker he can find, ones that were old and weren’t controlled by Rocket.[break][break]

As Galarian Ambassador, the Royal Guard were also dispatched to find her too. She knows that her knight had done everything he could to find her. The one that rescued her at the end was her friend and former Gym Leader of Fortree, Alexei Ivanov .[break][break]

With Alexei Ivanov no longer in Hoenn and having moved away from the region, Elise once again relied on her own royal guard and knight, Cadeyrn Osmond , to rescue her as she always does. He was always counted on to protect her as her sword and shield.[break][break]

It was the kind of terrifying experience that made Elise feel powerless and helpless. All of that worry and concern was left to her knight because he felt that he didn’t keep her safe enough. [break][break]

Noah’s question on what she meant pulls her to the thought of her cousin, a former Rocket. [break][break]

“I am sorry that I didn’t clarify what I meant.” The ambassador replies while the Calyrex shard takes a Pokemon treat that she gives him from a plastic bag, the kind that had a vegetable taste. “When I said I was forgiving to Rockets, I was being merciful, to put it simply. Because of Remiel being formerly Rocket, I didn’t want to fight those who are similarly trapped in Rocket and wanted to get out.”[break][break]

Charles nibbles on the Pokemon treat that Elise gave him, taking the flavor slowly with each bite.
