Mossdeep City’s community stadium lights up with each light shining down onto the audience, the gym leader, and the challenger that will arrive at the exact time. The time was 6:30 PM as the sun begins to set in hues of orange and pink. Like a prince that follows the royal princess of Galar and Galar’s ambassador to Hoenn, the Calyrex shard follows the well-dressed dark magenta haired woman.[break][break]

Her Mismagius follows in her shadow, a Phantom Force covers the ghost’s tracks when the ambassador donned in her business suit stops before the blond gym leader.[break][break]

"I have come right on time, Deputy Wledig.“ With the poise of royalty, Elise takes note of the crowd of people in the stadium, some that were curious trainers and locals of Mossdeep before her eyes settle on the Pokemon the deputy officer had on the field: a Probopass. ”I hope our match will bear fruits of my training.“[break][break]

When he tells her that she can begin, Elise signals for her partner Pokemon with a snap of her fingers.[break][break]

“Come out from my shadow, Mana. We’re starting.” And as Elise calls for her ghost Pokemon, the cackling laugh heralds the Mismagius uncloaking herself before she appears in front of the business suited princess. “Start with Shadow Ball.”[break][break]

While the princely Calyrex shard comes to watch the proceeding battle, Elise’s Mismagius creates a ball of dark energy before she throws it at the gym leader’s Probopass.

The Salamence huffs a little before turning his fierce eyes to the appearance of a Copperajah. Both the Calyrex shard and Clefairy look up at the elephant-like Pokemon in wonder while the ambassador turns around to see what her Pokemon were looking at. She knows that Copperajah were mounts centuries ago though she’s more interested in looking at a display of dresses.[break][break]

Since the Copperajah would be minding its own business in the streets, the elephant moves off to where it can search for food.

In retrospect, a shard born out of the League’s Calyrex had a fragment of its power and an energy known as Infinity Energy. That much was told to her by the director of Project SAPPHIRE. She knows it’s the energy that comes from Mega Evolution and the life energy of all living things. [break][break]

But that was a question about Infinity Energy that still makes Elise wonder if Infinity Energy was used for Avatarship powers like her cousin’s.[break][break]

“Well thankfully, I do not think I need to do such things with the shard. He can take care of himself.” The ambassador laughs a little softly, not that she’d imagine trying to change diapers on a very young prince like hers. “But he is the closest to an infant or a child that I express maternally for as his mother figure.”[break][break]

With more things that the red-headed blacksmith wanted to know about the shard after her greeting to the ambassador’s shard, Elise is happy to answer them in every way she can.[break][break]

“He answers to the name, yes.” She nods while the second question comes. There probably were many reasons why the League’s Calyrex chose Elise than the Leaguers that were there at the event. “And I know that the High King gave me a shard of himself because he desires to see how much I’ve learned as a leader and how I, as a leader myself, handle conflicts. In some way, I suppose he wants to see everything in Hoenn through the proxy being my shard and watches my experiences.”[break][break]

That was the only thing she knows of the League’s Calyrex’s request. He had high hopes for her.[break][break]

"But...I always have doubts of whether I am truly fit to be the ruler my late uncle was before my aunt took over the throne."[break][break]

A last somber note is said by the princess, whether she was a good successor for her people or not, considering that she too abandoned the very people and country she loved.

Her pale hand takes her cup of tea to sip. The flavor of her afternoon tea seeps through its aroma as the liquid slides down her throat. It tasted much like earl grey, the favorite blend she always liked to serve at her father’s table when they had tea together. [break][break]

On the man’s remark that he knew of her visit to a local renaissance festival, the Galarian ambassador keeps her composure worthy of a royal Galarian princess. In spite of the little sounds of alarm bells ringing through her head, she may assume that he had probably saw her once at the locales she and Charles visited.[break][break]

Setting down her teacup, she answers with a small tilt of her head. “How did you know…?” It wasn’t hard to think that the paparazzi reporters were always looking for any scoop on Galar’s ambassador to Hoenn. “Were you tailing me?”[break][break]

The Calyrex shard beside her continues to nibble on his treat, a little focused on enjoying how sweet the scone was.

Charles takes the Pokemon treats out of the director’s hand and nibbles on one of them. That was a peaceful moment that she can appreciate, even if the war worries her to no end over her being responsible for Rustboro City’s protection. The door shuts behind her which she sees that a Porygon helped to close it, so that the meeting can be held for both her and the director.[break][break]

“Yes, I’ve come face to face with the bird, the brother to the Galarian Articuno that my cousin encountered.” Her response came with a solemn nod to Paxton’s question as she’d take a seat along with the High King sitting on her lap. “I didn’t get a good look at its patron because the Rocket was masked. He knew me as Galar’s ambassador which leaves me many guesses to their identity.”[break][break]

Many Rockets in their ranks knew of her position, it wasn’t a hard thing to get information from. The problem was that while she knows the voice was male, it was somehow distorted. That made it harder to guess at the bird’s patron.[break][break]

“At any rate, the information I can give to you, Director, is that the Galarian Moltres’ patron has used powers over shadow.” She thinks back to how she had been overcome by the Rocket Avatar’s powers. “And it seems like he have control over fire too, but they’re shadow-based. It terrifies me to think that I could’ve died that day.”

She always had the assumption that Rocket wouldn’t target her much, much less a Calcifet that wasn’t on their hit like like Remiel. Nonetheless, the Galarian royal had been captured once before in a situation that called for her cousin to save her from her being held at the detainment cell. The prince had searched for her in every bunker he can find, ones that were old and weren’t controlled by Rocket.[break][break]

As Galarian Ambassador, the Royal Guard were also dispatched to find her too. She knows that her knight had done everything he could to find her. The one that rescued her at the end was her friend and former Gym Leader of Fortree, Alexei Ivanov .[break][break]

With Alexei Ivanov no longer in Hoenn and having moved away from the region, Elise once again relied on her own royal guard and knight, Cadeyrn Osmond , to rescue her as she always does. He was always counted on to protect her as her sword and shield.[break][break]

It was the kind of terrifying experience that made Elise feel powerless and helpless. All of that worry and concern was left to her knight because he felt that he didn’t keep her safe enough. [break][break]

Noah’s question on what she meant pulls her to the thought of her cousin, a former Rocket. [break][break]

“I am sorry that I didn’t clarify what I meant.” The ambassador replies while the Calyrex shard takes a Pokemon treat that she gives him from a plastic bag, the kind that had a vegetable taste. “When I said I was forgiving to Rockets, I was being merciful, to put it simply. Because of Remiel being formerly Rocket, I didn’t want to fight those who are similarly trapped in Rocket and wanted to get out.”[break][break]

Charles nibbles on the Pokemon treat that Elise gave him, taking the flavor slowly with each bite.

Elise had to be careful in the lower district since there were shops around. Though Slateport was not in her jurisdiction as a Ranger Captain, there were wild Pokemon around that her Salamence can train with. Both of the ambassador’s Calyrex shard and Clefairy accompany the Galarian royal in looking at the windows of clothing shops. [break][break]

There were people passing by that wonder over the strange sight of a regal woman and her three Pokemon, one of them being a fierce dragon, walking on the district streets. The ambassador doesn’t care too much, she’s here to figure out which new clothing she needed to buy too.

A Skarmory flies in one of the barren cliffs that overlook a rocky valley. Elise watches the other Skarmory preen her feathers before she takes note of the ambassador and her Illumina bird. The other female didn’t appear to be hostile, but she was in wonder over how Artoria was different in appearance. Artoria takes this as a sign that the other bird wanted to train and strikes with a Steel Wing.[break][break]

As the other bird tumbles back to the small rocks, she squawks and cuts the air with Air Cutter. While the steel onto Artoria’s feathers protect against the cuts, the Illumina Skarmory strikes again with a Moissanite Beam, sending the wild Skarmory tumbling into the air from the beam’s impact.[break][break]

And the Galarian royal throws a Dusk Ball at the wild Skarmory, she’s convinced that there was enough training for her Illumina one to do too.

“I do not have experience in the Ultra Desert, no.” The ambassador replies to her pink-haired friend. She has been to the deep sea, the underworld, the mechanical kingdom, and the barren terrain in Ultra Plant. A desert like this ultra wilds was not something she hadn’t been to before.[break][break]

“It is very different than the mechanical kingdom or the deep sea.” She notes, not that she wasn’t very adverse to exploring an area unfamiliar to her. On the contrary, the Ultra Desert would have to be mapped out and studied, even her cousin might have explored this one.[break][break]

Rocks had blocked the way of the Nidoking landscaping the desert. Elise sends out her Aerodactyl to help with the obstructions in the purple king’s way.[break][break]

“Seteth, let’s help our Nidoking friend with the terrain too. Crush those rocks.”[break][break]

The flying Aerodactyl crushes the boulders and rocks with a Crunch, his teeth bites onto the solid rock. With his teamwork with Silverio’s Nidoking, the rocks that stood in the landscaping were smashed to bits by the strong teeth of the flying dinosaurian Pokemon. Elise's Illumina Skitty looks at the strength of the Aerodactyl since she wanted to get stronger too.

“You cannot sleep?”[break][break]

After waking up from her bed to go outside of the home in her nightgown, the Galarian ambassador asks the Calyrex shard while he would accompany her to the sounds of night outside. She can’t count how many times she had woken up from that horrible nightmare, but the presence of the kingly shard gives her a state of calm that nothing else couldn’t.[break][break]

Both ambassador and shard lay on the grass together. On the night sky, she can see that the stars had clustered together for the night. Each time that Elise looks at them, she misses home too. There wasn’t a feeling each day and night that the princess was homesick.[break][break]

“This cluster that we’re seeing right now… I interpret that as the appearance of King Aurelius on his Galarian Rapidash steed, riding into battle valiantly.”[break][break]

Charles gives her a nod. He yawns while he looks up at the sky with his handler. He feels the pat on his head from the Galarian ambassador.[break][break]

“But if Sir Cadeyrn Osmond wishes it, that can be Sir Bors, the King’s brave knight and his trusted royal guard who rides into battle in the name of his Galarian King too.”[break][break]

Like the Calcifets, the Osmonds had a lot of great ancestors to their ancient family name. The family of royal knights who became the guards of Queens and Kings of Galar had their own stars.[break][break]

“I assume that when Remiel Calcifet passes on and if he doesn’t take the throne, I will always picture him among the stars as a great warrior prince.”

Elise sees the swarm of Duraludon and Archaludon when she and her Pokemon arrive to New Mauville. Since New Mauville was a place that made sense to be the home to the steel dragons, her Illumina Skitty watches the swarm go about and doing their business. The Calyrex shard watches over the baby kitten as if he was acting as her big brother, not as the king. [break][break]

In a way, Elise almost thinks that the two of them could bond with each other over being younger members of her team.[break][break]

The ambassador remembers seeing a Golden Gate Bridge in her storybooks, the one that talks about a foreign country. When one of the dragons come close, Charles is quick to shoot out a Burning Jealousy at them. He tries to protect his younger ‘sibling’ while Elise throws one of her Dusk Balls to catch one of the swarming dragons.[break][break]
