following a promotion to rustboro captain, bo discovered his brother cian had defected from rocket and exposed the family’s criminal past on a live hbs broadcast. bo became paranoid of rocket’s retaliation and league judgment, and he eventually quit the rangers to work on the atkins farm and keep a closer eye on his family.[break][break]

due to recent agricultural struggles on the farm following the eruption of mt. chimney, he has decided to return to the rangers, and cut a deal with team rocket in secret to ensure his family’s safety.[break][break]

for many generations, the isom family has maintained a temple of jirachi alongside the river on route 119, receiving many yearly visitors who pin countless wishes upon the walls. however, the family has struggled in recent years. elmira’s father disappeared at war during the megalopolan invasion, and her mother was aged to frailty by a spacetime distortion, requiring her to leave the temple.[break][break]

elmira remained at the temple to maintain it alone, but grew frustrated with her duties, unsatisfied with a quiet life detached from the suffering world outside of her bubble. vowing to hone her skills to help defend against otherworldly threats like the ones that took her father, she has set out on a journey. the family’s slowking, kairos, has been left to guard the temple. she begins on route 119, collecting wild pokemon and heading for the coast, towards the battle resort. having rarely gone beyond the isom property, she will surely find more trouble and adventure than anticipated. [break][break]

he is a much-loved son, in part for the unexpected vengeance he exacted on an investigator as a teen. exalted amongst his kin, he was brought early into the fold of team rocket, with whom the sloanes have associated since their arrival in kanto. [break][break]

though a smuggler by trade dealing in many things, desmond is also a bit of a generalist, ever-prepared for a change of pace.[break][break]
