Killian Decker & angelo vestri

I'd love to have these two thread together. Killian's always trying to expand his network of connections and Angelo would be a good one. I don't have super solid plot in mind atm, but I'm thinking something akin to a partnership. Both sharing information they've uncovered with one another. Killian's going to be opening a Casino in Sootopolis soon too. So that's another avenue we could pursue.

I have collected skyler dross as one of Melody's buddies so now I must have the local flying boy too. He will be mine esuna.


(In all real talk, maybe once they become good buddies we could do a plot where Melody tries to help figure out why the soul dew chose him? that seems like a pretty cool idea c:)

oh hell yeah. i've been meaning to hit you up to plot with killian because i feel like the two have overlapping paths that we could explore.

angelo's information is mostly within the realms of topography and incidents going on in the natural world (such as mirage spots, mostly the islands and other rumoured locations or events that seem abnormal/interesting that warrant checking out). but having your ear to the ground often means you pick up on other things, too. makes sense to have them share information or sell what they find to one another.

i'm down for it being a smooth sailing partnership but i'm comfortable with consequences and spice should the narrative call for it later, too! maybe a withholding of information. feeding false tips. maybe one of them or both learn something they shouldn't have. all that good stuff.

but we can see how things play out naturally or create a plot later, if that's something we want to explore.

the casino! ahh hell yeah, looking forward to when it's up and open. angelo will probably be a familiar face, popping up when he has some spare time to gamble money he doesn't really have lol. we could explore something there, too!

i'm going to clear up a few older threads and then we can do a thread? in the meantime, we should def plot further!

we could probably plan something for after AA, depending on what happens. but i feel like the two of them (tho their interactions have been few so far) have been fun. angelo def gets a kick out of teasing melody because she has great reactions lol

we'll see how the two of them go and maybe branch into some plots from there!

oh and it might be cute to have some latias and colbalion interactions! she needs friends, too. :looking:

Hi there ^_^ Eva loves adventures and is always down to go get in trouble (and she needs more league friends). They should adventure sometime. She's certainly no pilot, but she does love flying around, especially if it involves risks and speed. Adventure buddy pog?!

that sounds great, i’ve wanted to write something with you and your characters! i’d definitely be down for giving adventure buddies a whirl, maybe angelo accompanies eva on an excursion and chaos ensues? we also have a potential source of plots to use after AA (depending on what happens)!

two risk junkies who love flying around, what could possibly go wrong? :freeloader:

(Side note: Angelo is going to be a ritual regular, so that could lead to some plots with Alexandra Briarwood too!)

i'd love the opportunity to post with you! and that sounds like a great idea. angelo would def play the part of a contract navigator/guide for barnaby to get him to those places of interest, especially if it includes a little adventure thrown in winkwonk.

barnaby has been going out and covering the distortions for HNN ever since he accidentally got caught in the first one. strap a camera to him, GoPro style. maybe they encounter some crazy aggressive pokémon? could give angelo that taste of adventure he needs! or something else, i'm def open to suggestions!

i was also talking with azul about this and she suggested that mars could recommend angelo to barnaby, if that sounds okay with you? gives them a point of connection ♡

Maybe this is insulting to Angelo's talents, but seeing the "stay financially afloat" goal made me think of side hustles that might put Angelo in the same universe as John and the only thing I could think of was Flying Taxi??? I think they could get on friendly terms and become drinking (though not so much gambling) buddies afterwards but maybe they meet because John lagged behind his friends on an out-of-town drinking night and he just really needed a lift back to Slateport. I think I saw a mission like that even . . .

If you've got other ideas that don't reduce your ace pilot to a taxi driver let me know haha.

hi doe! welcome to hoenn!

in truth this plotter is a little bit out of date (my bad i'm a lazy butt) but it's okay, we can still use this idea. angelo is now co-owner of a business on site called nautica and although it brings in a tidy profit, he's still an opportunist, he's not going to turn down the chance to make a little extra PD on the side. we could definitely do the 'flying taxi' mission and just tweak it a little! 

maybe dear ol' johnny stumbles into angelo and mistakes him for a taxi service in his inebriated state? or angelo comes across him in a drunk pickle in lilycove where he lives, then offers to fly him back to slateport? get in to some shennanigans trying to find john's place. either way, it'll sure be a memorable trip and maybe they'll end up hitting it off! we'll see how it goes and if john ends up puking during the flight. 

btw john seems like a blast and i love the idea that he's just some guy, looking to hopefully reignite his spark for battling. really excited to see what you have cooked up for him.

HI ILY and I just wanted to say you're an incredible writer ;-; Hoenn is so much better with you here and I'm super glad to be able to call you my friend. I really want us to plot more this year, and I hope we can flesh out Angelo's relationship with Mars a bit more since I enjoy their dynamic a lot!! So this is my little note to us hehe
