Ruby had to admit to herself, chasing Whisper all over the countryside was not exactly what she had in mind for her first real experience in another region. The number of people she had to apologize was quite immense, no doubt about it. It was like everywhere they went, Whisper found some excuse to pop out of their ball and get into more trouble! Tossing away radios, smacking singing wild pokemon, or even just getting angry and staring at cars as they passed by, knowing she was too slow to catch up to them! But this was the weirdest one of them all, all the way up a mountain? She had huffed and she puffed, climbing the side of the mountain only to find that Whisper was standing still next to an... unconscious trainer.

... Yeah, it was time to go.

She quickly pulled Whisper back into her ball, trying to ignore the smug look of satisfaction on their face as she ran back down the mountain as fast as she could without falling back until it started to be a bit more wooded once more. The grass felt rather nice to walk on, with some sturdy trees giving some solid shade. Overall, it felt like a rather pleasant experience so far. Perhaps... It wouldn't be a bad idea to relax here for a little while and look over the rest of the region from their slightly elevated position! Sure, it wasn't anything super impressive, and only a small area within sight considering they were so low on the mountain, but it just felt rather nice. Regardless, they should probably get back into town before it got dark outside. It was bound to get cold up here!

She took her time exploring the area as she made her way down the mountain. It was certainly a pretty sight to see. However, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted something that she just had to get a better look at! Up across the makeshift road of the route, there was a cute little Ribombee! The little buy pokemon fluttering around, collecting pollen from a few of the flowers still blooming. Staring with wide eyes, she slowly stepped closer and closer, wanting a better look! She had never actually seen one in person before, it was incredibly exciting!

However, with all the pollen in the air, Ruby's nose suddenly started to twitch. Before she knew it, Ruby suddenly let out a loud sneeze! She was lucky Whisper didn't come out to give her a firm and stern glare, but more importantly, the poor Ribombee was startled! Before she could even think to try and capture it, the little gal flew away all of a sudden! She let out a quiet sigh, watching it fly away with nothing more than a gentle wave towards them. Good luck with your pollen-collecting journey!

Turning around, Ruby slowly continued her trek down the mountain, one step after another, keeping her eyes open for anything else unusual.

The trek down the mountain was quite serene. It was a lovely way to spend the evening, even if it wasn't what she had planned today. The mountain view, the beautiful clean air, the lovely flora and rather cute and playful pokemon playing in the distance. It was totally peaceful, away from the sounds of civilization, away from idle chitchat, it was just nice. Ruby let out a long sigh, smiling to herself as the sun slowly began to come down from the sky and began to set across the horizon.

She had made decent progress despite taking her time. Eventually, she had almost made it down the beautiful path. Just about to pause and rest, Ruby turned around to rest against a tree only to spot something. Off in the distance, a little cave opened up from within the side of the mountain, where a curious Clefairy seemed to be peeking their head out to check if it was night time yet. Ruby immediately gasped softly, that was a rare pokemon! Right away she knew that she had to try and capture it.

Quickly sending out Squishy her Inkay, the curious squid pokémon began looking around with a curious gaze. How this rather cute and adorable squid was a dark type, she never understood! Quietly, she whispered. "Squishy, see if you can get them to fall asleep." With a nod in response, they slowly began to float over towards the cave.

Quick as a flash, Squishy suddenly flashed all their lights all at once as soon as they got close to the cave. The Clefairy suddenly being entranced by the psychic-fueled lights, staring deeper and deeper until it fell asleep, slumping against the ground. Ruby cheered out in Joy, quickly slipping over towards the cave entrance with a pokéball in hand. "Come here lil' buddy, let's get you a safe home!" And with that, she placed the empty pokéball directly against the Clefairy's sleeping form.
