She felt accomplished. She had officially managed to capture at least 99% of the fire-type Pokemon across the world. Stormy Silph: fire-type specialist. It was now time to finish that title, to make sure she was 100% prepared to keep her title of Lavaridge gym leader: specializing in fire and ground type Pokemon.[break][break]

And so, she felt the best way to go about this was to revisit Rusturf tunnel. After all, it had been where she'd first met and captured her beloved Camerupt. The Pokemon had been a staple in her team for a long long time now, and she was confident she could find someone new to add to her family.[break][break]

Two Pokemon present themselves to her, and they appear identical in shape. Their lance-like arms strike each other and sparks of light come off of their bodies with every impact. Except when one slips and gouges the other. Green goo spews, indicating to her that a soft bug-type lies within the steel shell.[break][break]

So she wrinkles her nose in disgust and moves on. She isn't here for bugs. [break][break]

Their clamoring ceases not long afterward, leaving the tunnel quiet once again.[break][break]

Something sharp graces her shoulder, tearing the cuff of her jacket and exposing pink skin. Stormy gasps as she turns, facing an impossibly large and terrifying Ferrothorn. It seemed she had accidentally stepped into its nest and upset it. [break][break]

Before it could

power whip

a second time, Stormy reaches for a pokeball to reveal her Arcanine. The dog emits a loud, warning bark, before blowing a torrent of hot flames. It melts the surface of the Pokemon in question and it screams before ingraining itself in the ground and disappearing entirely.[break][break]

"Good boy, thank you Arcanine."[break][break]

The huge dog whines as he leans into her ear scritches, and he walks confidently alongside her, her protector.[break][break]

Their travels end abruptly when they encounter a Hippowdon. Her black skin blends in perfectly with the other end of Rusturf tunnel, given that she's buried herself in the soft sand and earth beneath them.[break][break]

Stormy's foot stumbles into one of her back orifices, causing the beast to cry out in anger and surprise. It had probably hurt, after all.[break][break]

Sand sprays from her nostrils as the ground-type Pokemon shuffles to her feet, fully prepared to bite down at anything with her

fire fang

.[break][break]

Arcanine, however, takes the brunt of the hit, allowing the hippo to bite down on his shoulder. He whines, but holds fast as he makes sure Stormy is out of harms way.[break][break]

Stormy, meanwhile, reaches for the only water-type Pokemon she has. Using the Kingdra like a squirt-gun, she holds the Pokemon between her hands and watches as the sea dragon hoses down the Hippowdon, dousing out whatever fire she had going on.[break][break]

And then Stormy throws a pokeball - perhaps she'd forgotten she already has a female Hippowdon at home.[break][break]
