MARCH UPDATE

It was a fairly mild day in Hoenn. Specifically in route 101 where Jet was spending his day. Lately he had gone out of his way to train his pokemon which is why he came to this part of the region. Now most people would want to go to a more robust route to train their pokemon, but Jet liked the quiet. Or well as quiet as it could be being so close to Littleroot town. That and the pokemon battles that were about to ensue. For now though the blue haired lad was just wandering the route by his lonesome, hoping to find something to entertain him.

Littleroot town was out of sight but not out of mind for Lucas Lane. He could still hear the faint sounds of the town's weekly baseball game. Scattered around were a handful of baseballs that'd been written off as lost for the townsfolk.[break][break]

Foliage rustles as Lucas heads off the beaten path. With a ball in hand he inches towards what sounds like a large pokemon.

The sound of rustling grass also caught Jet's attention so he too sneaked towards it, pokeball containing his arcanine in hand. Coiling back his arm to unleash his pokemon, the silhouette of a human quickly made him stop. He had seemingly mad eye contact with the person but quickly shifted his gaze to the lombre close by.He thought about fighting it for a moment as he took a step back from Lucas. However as he did, his foot met another ball that had fallen to a ground. A baseball of all thing! Losing his footing Jet fell to the ground, landing hard on his backside with a large thud. Swearing under his breath, Jet rubbed his lower back looking at the ball that floored him that was rolling towards him. In a fit of rage he picked up the ball and threw it as far away as he could! The trajectory didn't matter to him which probably wouldn't end well. Luckily though the ball narrowly missed Lucas and soared passed him. "oh sorry about that." he said still remaining on the ground.

The baseball whistles past him. It misses his head by near inches and collides with an oak tree behind him.[break][break]

"Hey lets watch where we throw things." Lucas chides the trainer. "Could have given me a concussion there." He steps over a small boulder teeming with moss. Staring at the collapsed trainer it takes Lucas a moment to outstretch a hand. "Here, let me help you up."

"Yeah I already apologized." he snapped back at Lucas's reasonable reply to nearly getting bonked on the head. He was so annoyed that he didn't even take his hand to help himself up. Jet then dusted himself off and turned around sharply. "Why the hell are there so many random balls everywhere anyway?!" He scolded with a frown. He then turned to his Arcanine who was crucnhing the ever loving crap out of a victreebel. "Cu that's enough." he said throwing a pokeball at the injured plant. The Arcanine crocked his head up and began to pant happily as if to say "Oh hey look what I did!" Three shakes later it was caught. "Good boy."

"Well okay." He says slowly in response to being snapped at.[break][break]

"Well there is a base ball field pretty close by. So they're probably just lost balls." Lucas' tone was matter of fact. "I'd be a bit shocked if there weren't any."[break][break]

Lucas nudges the nearest baseballs into a neat pile with his foot. They were too grimy and wet to sort with his hands. "Out for a walk with your dog?" He tries to make small talk at an attempt to lighten the mood.

Jet rolled his eyes at the response to his obviously rhetorical question. The information was nice to have though. How it was said was another annoyance of course, because who liked a know it all? He even went on to say how weird it would be if there weren't just random baseballs everywhere! Honestly, some people.

"You could say that yeah." looking over to his dog who had tackled a Fearow out of the air and was now Playing rough with it. Groaning slightly he let his Arcanine be pecked to high hell by the large bird as he turned back to the stranger. "What about you? Here to walk your imaginary friend?" He returned the chastising tone Lucas had used earlier. Lets see how he liked it!

"What? No I'm not here with anybody." The joke goes completely over the scientist's head. "Just here for a bit of training." Lucas pulls out a pokeball and releases shiny vikavolt. "Been a bit more of a nature walk so far though. A bit unfortunate but hey at least the weathers nice."[break][break]

While Lucas rambles on unaware of his surroundings the vikavolt terrorizes a nearby shiftry. It flies back and forth bug buzzing the wicked pokemon. Vikavolt manages to pull at its hair and rip its leafy appendages while the shiftry struggles to make sense of its situation. [break][break]

"Guess this changes that a bit though" he says as he notices the shiftry. With an underhand throw he attempts a capture.

"Ah I see, I was gonna train too to be honest." he said, watching the trainer catch a shiftry with his bug pokemon. "Cool pokemon. What kinda one is it?" he asked, taking a keen interest in the bug type. As he spoke he noticed his Arcanine statting to crunch down on another pokemon. He couldn't quite get a good look at it considering Cu was almost entirely on to of it. Still, he was curious to know what it was since after a moment or two the fire type was still fighting it. With a similar underarm throw that Lucas did, Jet attempted to catch the pokemon, his pokeball rolling at speed towards its golden underbelly.

"Anyway, if you're looking to train your pokemon, maybe we could have a quick one on one battle? Might help?" he asked, now seeming to be a good bit calmer having gotten over his brief small. he wasn't sure what had changed his mood but it was probably this guy's pretty simple and friendly nature. Once the pokemon was caught Jet went over to get the pokeball off the ground, waiting to hear Lucas's response.

"It's a vikavolt. Usually they're blue, but this ones white from being a shiny." Lucas walks over to and picks up the ball containing shiftry.[break][break]

"Oh. Well uh we could, though I'm not that good. Can't even earn a single badge yet." As he talks vikavolt continues his relentless attacks on the local pokemon. Doing aerial acrobatics it torments a breloom relentlessly. Punches are thrown from the fungal fighter but each misses their mark. Its arms were too small to reach its assailant.[break][break]

"I could do a one on one vs one battle if you want though. We could use the battle area by the baseball diamond."
