The appearance of LORELEI DU'MOT's cheap copy annoys Boreas, but he's even more ruffled by the presence of BARNABY FINCH's Étienne, tensing beneath Mars. Despite it all, the underboss seems to find something amusing in this fact, shooting his lover a smirk while a hand pats the dark mane of his ace Pokémon.

Cillian Quinn pulls his attention back to their surroundings when mentioning the obelisk, as do the increasingly louder whispers of the Unown when he sets eyes upon it.

Something about the obelisk calls to him, and when Boreas lands, it's with no hesitation that Mars steps onto the sand and towards the structure, allowing the bird-of-prey to once again join Lugia in the skies.

"Hmm... I agree that the passage would be a good location for our camp. It would provide good protection from all these sandstorms and maybe even the Orthworm." He says in response to both Gavin and Barnaby, venturing closer once the pokémon have dug deep enough. The obelisk extends down into the ground as well...

He's still distracted by the thought of it. The Unown continue to whisper, flanking their avatar. There are no seals, there's only the holes were these seals belong. Mars feels drawn to them.

Then, Mars' response begins in the form of a simple question: "Miss Flint, you were at the Space Centre's Star Soirée a couple of years ago, correct?"

He knows she was. He knows she probably has studied every detail about that night, especially because of her interest in DREAM MIST and the INTERDREAM ZONE. So, he continues:

"Back then, when the DRK Triad attacked and opened rifts between dimensions, it was the guests' Unown that closed those rifts and guided them out of the INTERDREAM ZONE."

This is a fact, as is the following:

"And when our expedition team ventured into the Tree of Life to rescue bryan delarosa's Xerneas..." Mars looks at Bryan then, offering a simple nod in acknowledgment of his own comments about Xerneas and the Unown. He values both Bryan's opinions and his friendship, and he's thankful for them too. "...didn't we all get out through a portal I asked all of our Unown to create, to which your own even contributed?"

Would they have stayed trapped in the Tree of Life had it not been for that portal? Likely so. Their way out had closed behind them when accessing the top of the tree, it's the very reason why Mars had asked the Unown to make a way home. He looks at Lulu.

"Among those of us who were taken to other dimensions by Father Winter, many were able to return thanks to the Unown."

As far as he's aware, she had not met Father Winter in Granite Cave, but Mars himself had, and others here had as well.

"And most recently, in the Cloud, you, me, and all those of us who were taken there would have died during that critical error had the Unown not intervened through me."

Marza Volchitsa herself just spoke on her experience there, so he makes a small clarification on his own report, and then, speaks a truth that may have perhaps been assumed by many here but never stated word-for-word:

Love is in the air! In celebration of Valentine's Day, P.O.G Bank proudly presents the return of their ♡ LOVE CONTEST, a Pokémon Contest all about bonds between Pokémon and bonds between Pokémon and trainer! This time with fun new mechanics, surprise judges, and much much more!

If you would like to participate in the ♡ Love Contest, please fill out the application below! Do keep in mind the following:

💛 You're required to participate with TWO POKÉMON, preferably which have moves that can create CONTEST COMBINATIONS when together. As long as 1 MOVE of the combination is in your chosen category, it's considered as that regardless of LEAD MOVE. Both CONTEST and CONTEST SPECTACULAR combinations are applicable.

💛 Your CONTEST CATEGORY PREFERENCE (the category you think fits the topic of LOVE best) will determine the category you will participate under.

💛 The category of this CONTEST RIBBON will be determined by THE CHOSEN PREFERENCE OF THE WINNER

💛 There are NO ROLLS in this contest. Points per round will be determined by compliance to this contest's mechanics (to be introduced), following prompts (to be introduced), and the descriptions made in your post itself. Guest judges will also give their opinion on each performance, choosing their favourite.

Where some favour skiing, the banker finds that this portion of the Silent Iceland is particularly easy to traverse on a snowboard... and so does his Pokémon. The Gholdengo seems to almost shimmer under the sun, its golden body reflecting the endless snow all around it as it climbs onto its coin-covered board and follows after its trainer.

It only pauses when hearing the Steelix's rumbling roar, and Mars does as well, putting a stop to his board and turning to look at the stranger. Strangely familiar-looking stranger, but at a distance there's no telling for sure.

There had once been a time when the sole idea of going to a rave with one of his best friends would have excited Mars, but now, sitting at the heights of his office in Piazza Oro Grande Bank's corporate headquarters, all that sounds rather... tiring.
