The week following the events at the Ultra Deep Sea was a particularly difficult one for Thomas. Under the care of his many Audino, Thomas was able to recover from the injuries he sustained.

But the worst of it was not physical.

Cillian Quinn had managed to somehow seduce the Shadow Luxray he was taking care of. Though he didn't understand how he did it, he was sure it had something to do with the thoroughly corrupted Lugia that was with him. Still, reliving the trauma of having another Pokemon stolen from him was a hard pill to swallow, especially after a week of powerlessness and exhaustion.

Speaking of powerlessness, he felt he was nowhere near close to finding answers about Andraste Breathnach. The last he heard, there were rumors that she was abducted. With nobody to reliably reach out to, and no way to looking for himself, he felt hopeless. Did Rocket get to her? If not Rocket, then who would've gotten to her? Was she even alive?

Bunni desperately attempted to comfort her master, giving him a hug. Thomas would wrap an arm around her, pulling her in close. Though the dark cloud was still cast over him, he did appreciate her concern and companionship. Gene would join in, curling up on his chest. Thomas would pet the Eevee gently.

"I don't know what I'd do without you all.", Thomas told the two of them with a faint smile.

It wouldn't take long for Thomas to finish off the other man. The Galvantula wasted no time in stringing the battered and bloody grunt up, while Thomas turned his attention back to the turncoat.

"Yes. Thank you for providing this.", he'd tell her, taking the chip off of her, and verifying it through his own Porygon phone.

After the Porygon let out a beep of confirmation, Thomas would hand the compensation she agreed to prior, as well as a business card.

"I've got many questions, but no time to ask them. But if you'd like to work together in the future, I'd be happy to compensate you for the trouble.", he'd tell her.

One of the two Rockets managed to see the Electroweb coming, and got out of dodge in time. The other wasn't so lucky, letting out a grunt of pain, before losing consciousness to the Electroweb he was ensnared in.

"Fuck this!", the Grunt growled, as he brandished a knife, and attempted to rush the former Elite Four member. Though he had no more Pokemon, with the loss of his Mightyena, he'd hope that he could at least take out the former member of the Elite Four.

Thomas would quickly toss a Scatterbang at the grunt's feet. The sudden popping dazing the man for a moment, breaking his focus, and allowing Thomas to move in. Drawing his baton as he moved in, Thomas first seized the man's right wrist, before delivering a harsh side kick to the man's leg. Finally, Thomas would viciously pummel the man's head with his baton, until he dropped.

"Can you smell what The Rock is cooking!?"

If it smelled anything like bacon, then Thomas could indeed smell it.

Thomas would watch the many Emboar spar with one another, while their young Tepig were playing. In any case, Thomas wouldn't pass up the opportunity to capture one of these pigs for himself, and attempted to toss a Pokeball at the group, hoping for some good news.

The Mightyena let out a yelp as the icicles crashed down on its already battered body. Despite this, the Rocket's hound staggered back up, growling defiantly at the Weavile.

"Take this fucker out with a Fire Fang!", ordered the Grunt.

The Weavile would allow the Mightyena a moment to get close to him, giving it hope, before lobbing an Ice Shard at its head. As the ice smashed against its head, the Mightyena's legs would buckle and go limp. The attack did not pierce the skull, but the force of the attack, compounded with the punishment it had been taking, was enough to knock it out.

"Shit!", the Rocket grunt blurted, desperately reaching for another Pokeball on his belt, looking for something, anything, to fight off the attack.

Before he could, Thomas deployed Thread, his Galvantula, who would fire off an Electroweb towards the two Rockets. If the attack were to connect, the electrical shock would be enough to knock them out, provided their uniforms didn't have built in resistance to electricity.

"I'm in a foul mood today. And your face is looking pretty punchable!", the youth spat at the head bully.

The Pancham would step to the side of the oncoming fireball, as would the master. The boy flashed a wicked, bloodthirsty grin. "Brutus, waste 'em! Body Slam!"

The Pancham would leap up, and attempt to slam down on the Houndour with all the weight he could muster.

Their escape would come at the cost of the Solosis that kept them safe. Thomas takes a moment to mourn for the losses they had both incurred. In this state, he didn't notice that the gills on his neck had subsided.

Finally, as Callan got up, Thomas would as well. "Til next time, Callan. Be safe.", he'd tell the Elite Four member, before heading off to continue his work.

The situation would only become more hectic, with the very area around them collapsing, and the Donphan-looking Pokemon turning into dust. If they didn't escape soon, they would be going with it. The only reason they were able to survive being the little Solosis, and its Wonder Room bubble protecting them.

The trainer would follow the Elite Four member out of there, trying to get out as quickly as possible, for the sake of the Solosis that was holding things together.

The combination of the two Z-Moves managed to defeat the strange, mechanical Pokemon. Thomas noted the effect that Psychic-type attacks had on the strange creature in general. One would expect that a Gallade and Gardevoir hybrid would be resistant, or at least take such attacks neutrally, like Gallade.

That was when more of the Interdream Mist started to form and manifest. Thomas looked to his student. "Shall we get the fuck out of here?", he'd ask Doug.

If Doug accepted, Freke would Teleport them out of the danger zone.

Thomas looked on in shock and horror as the Pokemon managed to cleave both of their Pokemon in half, in a frightful display of power.

Before it could act on it, Thomas quickly sent out Freke the Alakazam.

"No more fucking around!", Thomas declared, pulling out a pocket watch, which opened up to reveal his Keystone. Pressing it caused the Alakazam to undergo Mega Evolution.

The Alakazam managed to Trace its Quark Drive, an ability that would not come into play.

Thomas would activate the Alakazam's Z-Move, Psy-Tempest.

The Gallade-like machine would be surrounded by a pink haze, before it would be caught in a violent storm of psychic energy, which left a Psychic Terrain in its wake.

Thomas looked on at the strange thing that was summoned. It looked mostly like a Gallade, but Thomas could also see characteristics of a Gardevoir in there.

Perhaps it was some sort of hybrid?

In any case, its appearance answered his question.

Thomas brought out his Muk, who would belch up a glob of Toxic sludge at the strange Pokemon. The hybrid had other plans, as it managed to use its blade to Psycho Cut the glob before it could reach it.

"I'll tell you about my encounter later.", he'd promise Doug, as he examined the thing carefully.

"I can't help but worry.", he'd reply to the younger man. "I've dealt with enough loss for one day."

When he mentioned a 'thing', Thomas looked at him. "What was this 'thing' like?", he'd inquire.

Only for a Mist to summon a figure familiar to the young soldier.
