A poison Mayday had decided long ago she would avoid but to each their own. Maybe, if she were highly favored, he would take care of himself and leave the brunt of the work to her after the stick of doom sends him to meet his maker. "Ah, so you're one of those types?" Wishful thinking, no doubt. "Noted. I'll be sure to think of you next time I need the help." Her quip is laced with the singsong venom as it's fired into the frigid air. Her arms fold across her chest as she turns her attention to his hulking poke-partner now.

"Oh, I mean no harm~" she addresses the Swampert with a giggle, "your friend's face would still make for a great rocking chair. I'm in the market for one of those too. Since you're, what was it? Open to new things?" Mayday turns on her heels; pen, and paper scribbling against the mental note in her mind. The veil of darkness that coated his hues in his words hadn't gone unnoticed. Foreboding clouds rolled in, shrouding those stormy blues of his. A forecast of intrigue was rolling in. And she grins. There was something oh so appealing about dancing close to danger.

But, her own curiosity and pleasure aside, there was a job to be done. "I figured a small stakeout would be enough." Not the most elaborate plan, but the task at hand didn't seem to cause for big-brain thinking. Nevertheless, "Watch and wait. And, assuming we don't have to get forceful," manicured nails tap the docked Pokeball attached to the belt loop of her hip. "A quick mind swipe should be all we need if we have unwanted guests." And with that, she motions for him to follow as the heels of her boots click against slickened concrete.

Leaning over she unzips her boot and cranes her head towards his voice as he moves to introduce himself. Giving a name to the mysterious bachelor, Uriah—or Uri for short—she commits it to memory before giving him a sweet smile. "May," she debates on a moniker, or a false name altogether but settles on a nickname of sorts for the time being. "Pleasure to meet you, Uriah. And thank you for the date." The latter of her gratitude carries an amused hum as she slips both feet into the ice skates.

"Slateport native?" Mayday queries, standing from her seat and turning to face Uriah, "or are you just in town for the festivities?" Though, it would strike her as a little strange that someone would purposely place themselves among all of the cozy couples if they were traveling by their lonesome. Perhaps he too, had other reasons for being in the city? Though, upon glancing at him up close, she couldn't recall having seen him among the ranks of her Rocket brethren. But that didn't mean much.

With a hand extended, she awaits his shifting of footwear to escort him onto the ice. "Can you ice skate?" Brazenly, her body leans over and her hues shift to peek at the backside of the man as he stood.

With each word muttered, the aroma settled to that of charitability, finally settling down to the delicious scent of naivete. The man in front of her was a good soul, he radiated the aura of someone who did their best and took pride in the merit of their work as well. Not necessarily a boy scout, but not too far off from one either, if Mayday ventured to read him from the answer alone. Nervousness graced his response as well, but that was to be expected. It was an impromptu date, after all.

"Fufu, not quite," she chirped amusingly. Perhaps he was a bit of a daredevil? Masking his true nature under the guise of an unsuspecting regular. "I was just curious. You could think the same about me for agreeing without asking any follow-up questions too you know." All the while, she maintained unbreakable eye contact, softening her hues before skidding against the ice, moving back to Derek's side. Taking his arm and pressing her body against his once more. "I prefer, 'weird', if that helps you relax a bit."

Divulging the tidbit of truth, Mayday found nothing entertaining in the mundane and 'normal'. It was boring, people like that were boring. Being one of the eccentric herself, the pinkette couldn't see herself occupying any space with another face that melded into the background for any longer than the beat of a Butterfree's wing. So perhaps that was a point scored toward Derek in that regard. "I think you're very cute. Earnest, too. A little shy, which adds to your charm. Perhaps you're hiding a daring side that I'll have to stick around to see." With a whimsical hum, "I'm intrigued~" she dismisses the conversation and jumps onward to another. "Your turn," she chirps, "you get to ask a question now."

Faith would act as the candlelight at her feet, illuminating the roadway to what could potentially be her true calling manifested. She stood at the precipice of worth and enjoyment in such. A career, one may say. Something she could wake up to every day, and enjoy every second of doing. All that stood between her and the visions of grandeur, was a meeting with a man. Possibly a few other steps after the meeting, but the meeting came first nonetheless.

The rendezvous point had been delivered, and with haste, Mayday made her way to the location. Privy of the time, as to not keep the aforementioned man waiting too long, there was no dawdling in her journey to Slateport. However, there was a gaggle of drunkards and imbeciles that threatened to act as hurdles to the diner. Easily thwarted, one after another she made swift work of the stumbling buffoons and ne'er-do-wells and entered the diner. Immediately, her bright hues surveyed the interior until she locked onto a stoic man sitting at a table by his lonesome. It had to be him.

Walking over, she pierces the veil and invades his bubble, "Theo Beckett?" Her voice is low, but loud enough for the man she addresses to hear.

[attr="class","stylishtext"] An unknown baritone beckons from the unknown, prompting Mayday to spin on her heels to face the source as out from the darkness, slinks a man of bright blue hair and... a face that suggests a ghastly close call of sorts. "Oh," though he hadn't greeted her with the phrase, this had to be the man she awaited. Call it women's intuition, or deductive reasoning; but Mayday highly doubted anyone else... in his condition, would avidly approach her. Especially having come lurking out of the shadows of a dark and dank alley space, no less.

"I suppose so." There's a visible up and down given to the taller male. Her bright hues take in the stature and musculature of the trainer and then sift to his pokemon, the large and domineering Swmapert at his side. It's only after she has affirmed that he could potentially prove to not be a liability, that his words reach her ears. "And you seem the type to jump at the chance to wipe it if I needed help." Her retort is laced with a faux sweet venom, sealed with the facade of a curt smile before her visage shifts. "Hardly," she embellishes. "Did you have a run-in with a trash compactor on your way over?"

[attr="class","stylishtext"] Methodically, she kicks one foot to maintain upkeep of their momentum against the ice as her ears lean towards Derek's words. Eyes focused on her date, "Blackthorn? I've visited once or twice," responding to the small musings of his hometown and his penchant for ice-skating. It wasn't every day you found someone skilled in the feat. Or rather, adept enough to maintain their balance on a first go. There was something to be said about it, a man who could ice skate with ease, that is. "I'm from Olivine city," she starts, "seeing as though I was by the ocean, most of my free time was spent on the shore of the beach."

Her body moves closer to his, a subtle attempt to garner coziness. Perhaps feign the victim of winter's chilly breeze? Searching for the warmth of a sturdy someone next to her. "Though, I'm growing partial to the winter weather. There's something about seeing the ground covered in a blanket of snow that makes the shivering all worthwhile." A small chuckle leaves her lips before her bright hues peer about at the other patrons of the rink. Cozy, snuggled up close to one another, threatening to share clothes and skin. There was something to be said about the colder season's inescapable grasp on the need for the seizing of warmth and companionship.

"So," Mayday takes the initiative to skid ahead of Derek, now standing directly in front of him, she takes both of his palms and holds them between the pair. "What exactly prompted this, impromptu date?" She tilts her head ever so slightly, "hm?" A genuine inquiry. Leverage could be gained in an answer.

[attr="class","stylishtext"] It's been touted as taboo to mix business with pleasure since the dawn of man and pokemon alike. Nothing good could come from the combination of personal and financial gain in the same sitting. To what one would call, a normal person, the idea of testing a newly formed toxin on a potential suitor would seem absurd, heinous, and downright diabolical. But, to a not so normal person—namely Mayday Markov—this was just a normal occurrence in her day-to-day. There wasn't a true loss that she could see in the idea of it. One, she gets to test out the toxin's effects on a human. Two, she gets a free date that on the chance, he didn't perish, perhaps she would have someone to occupy her bedside later that night. A win-win no matter the outcome.

Imagine, pushing up daisies after offering them up to a date? How amusing. "Fancy is a relative term," she quips with a sweet giggle, bending over to tighten the laces to her ice skates, "I think this is much cozier than a stuffy restaurant. Probably much more fun in the end, too." With a nod, Mayday rises and brushes a few wrinkles from her skirt. Turning to face the spontaneous date of the evening with yet another smile of warmth, accompanied by a chuckle this go around.

"Yep, same goes for you too, no?" And onto the ice she goes, fluidly skidding across the frozen water to meet Derek halfway. Stopping next to him and locking an arm around his. This was a date, no? They shouldn't spend so much time apart from one another. "Did you ice skate back home too? I can't recall the last time I got the chance to enjoy this~" She pushes off with her dominant foot, allowing the blade beneath the boot to carve a linear trail of progression against the surface of the frosted aqua. "Let alone on a date, no less."

Her first inclination is to seek revenge for the transgressions of the ice rink owner's negligence of the single folk by reaching into her pocket and spraying him with the atomizer that lies within. Make him yet another unsolicited test subject to a passion project of hers. Pull the pin and throw the grenade, so to speak. Watch the entirety of the ice rink scatter in a panic frenzy due to the injustice she had been served here on this day. That would teach him, if he happened to survive, of course.

But alas, his fate is saved by the ringing of an unfamiliar baritone projecting towards the pinkette. "Hm?" Her thoughts of rage and psychosis have taken a back seat to a calm, serene tone as Mayday turns to lay sight to the man speaking to her. Tall, lean, bright-haired. Quite the looker, all things considered. Perhaps this was the lob ball life planned to toss her for not being the reckoning on her terms? "Mm, perhaps." She responds with a smirk, pondering for a brief moment in silence before nodding, "it is free for couples, I don't see why not." Again, he was quite the looker, it was a win-win for Mayday regardless of whether or not she chose to stay close to the stranger.

Though, if only in her own selfish pursuit of entertainment; she would decide to stay in his space. If only for the time they shared the ice rink. "You did ask nicely, after all." She takes the initiative to lock an arm around the strangers softly, pressing her body next to his and turning to face the purveyor of the ice skates. "Two, pairs of skates, please." The winds of fate were truly interesting.

[attr="class","stylishtext"] A small device of mass destruction is passed off to the woman and she ogles it with a glint of glee and splendor. There was certainly a fiesta to be had, one that would end in a bang, a blaze of glory. And how thoughtful of Rosario to have her as a VIP to the festivities. Truly an upstanding gentleman, that one. "You certainly came prepared," not to say that she had not. But detonation was far from her idea of a scheme gone right. But no matter, Mayday had committed herself to see the plan through with precise accuracy and efficiency.

The detonator would be concealed underneath the coat she adorned as the heels of her boots clicked onward behind her partner, closing the distance with an unsuspecting guard who would be soon dispatched of by a skillful knee and chop combo. A two-piece from hell that sent the guard unconscious and onto the ground unceremoniously. "Oooh~" how exciting. Joining Team Rocket had proven time and time again to have been the right choice. With each endeavor she undertook, Mayday found more pleasure in the partnership with the mass of monsters in human clothing.

"Certainly," from her pocket, Mayday plucks a small silver atomizer. Filled to the brim with a special fragrance of her creation. Taking the lead, Mayday walks onward with the facade of a minimal cabin worker plastered on her visage. Nearing a pair of guards similar to the first of the dispatched, she greets them with a smile and wave. "All is well on the top deck, how are the cabins?" She fires the inquiry off sincerely, awaiting both to crack open their maws before spritzing a faint purple spray from the atomizer into their mouths. Immediately, both men begin to cough, frantically rising to grip their throats, only to find two swift chops to the back of their necks. Sending them crumbling to the floor with two in sync 'thuds'. "Guests, entertained." She turns to face Rosario, a glint of amusement shining in the darkness of her bright hues.

[attr="class","stylishtext"] It was once again the loneliest time of year, and the wintry winds had blown the lone pink petal far from what she called home and into unknown territory. Her initial stay in Slateport hadn't meant to be longer than a day or so, she had just wandered into the city to complete a mission tasked to her. Nothing more, nothing less. However, while peering out of the frosted window of her temporary residence, Mayday couldn't help but find herself intrigued by the festivities that were ongoing about the citizens and pokemon alike. Perhaps there was something entertaining to be done here before she took her leave? Perhaps. And there was truly only one way to find out for certain.

After skipping breakfast, the pinkette dawns an all-black ensemble made up of a tucked blouse into a mini skirt. Aware of the weather conditions outside, she hadn't forgotten to slip her legs into warm tights and black, thigh-high boots. Finally, a light brown furred parka would be tossed on and a red and white checkered scarf would be securely wrapped about her neck. And, with all of her needed items tucked into her pockets, Mayday gave herself a look over in the mirror, and dart out into the blanket of white that covered a majority of the ground.

Her destination was close, only a minor walk from her temporary place of stay. The park was filled with various activities and people frolicking to and fro. Stands offering wintery goods and treats, children rolling mounds of snow in preparation to build snowmen and pokemon; sights such as these were sure to sting those who hadn't another to share these memories with. But alas, Mayday couldn't fall victim to such. Instead, she sauntered forward towards the more populated area, and upon coming closer, she quickly understood why. An ice-rink, ready to give out skates and allow all to partake in double sow-cows and spinning until they collapsed.

Hm, it had been a while since she indulged. It sounded like a good time. In theory. Until of course, she neared the opening to the rink and soon read the large display... 'Free Couples Skating'. "..." What a terrible gimmick! Because she was by her lonesome she would have to pay?? And what a time to have left her purse back in her room no less. The wintry winds were all but pleasant to her this year, it seemed.

The lower district of Slateport city was not to be trifled with by any means. though she hadn't the frequent flyer miles, Mayday had heard her share of stories from those who came in and out of the city and knew well to keep an eye to the ground and her ears to the air. In truth, though, that made her all the giddier to be stationed here for what seemed to be a rather important mission.

The black market had seen better days since the Galarian embargo, however, that wouldn't stop the intrepid bandits and smugglers from doing their due diligence and seeing to the safe travel of pokemon to and from Galar. Of course, with a business still operating under the radar, there was bound to be a few neigh-sayers that would stop at nothing to snuff the flame out completely. Uproot the business and toss it aside altogether. That, was where she came in. Well, she and another member of Rocket, she presumed. Their mission was simple: Eject the unwanted authorities and see to it that the resurgence continued steadily.

Sounded pretty cut and dry. Though, to do so without bringing any unwanted attention to themselves, or reproaching onto the rocket name may pose a bit of a challenge. Alas, it was nothing a swift erasure of memory couldn't fix, no? "Hm," bright hues peered about the open area of various stalls and vendors. Nightfall had brought out the chilling winter breeze that carried the sea salt scent and assortment of lanterns to illuminate late-night shopping. Her big coat had been plucked from the back of the closet, but the weather wouldn't stop her from dawning a black skirt and tights. The thigh-high boots should help keep her warm. "Where is he?" So far no sign of her partner for the night. He'd have the passcode to relay, and no one had done so yet.

It wasn't the size of the boat, but the cargo it carried, or so the saying goes to some effect. A smaller vessel for sure, if this happened to be the correct location, this would make for the backdrop of a quite the nefarious scheme. A scheme that Mayday would not be alone in crafting, she had an accomplice, a seasoned veteran in the art of mayhem making.

Rosario De Santos. "No sign of them as of yet." She keeps her voice low, just loud enough for her partner to hear as she returns back to his side. Sneaking onto the boat was a simple feat really, a little poison mist towards two inattentive workers and overboard their bodies went, leaving two uniforms for the pilfering and wearing. And, with a few alterations, it didn't make for quite the bad outfit in truth. Not something she would wear again, but it should allow her and Rosario to walk the deck with minimal questioning from any other staff.

From the safety of the shirt, Mayday plucks free her communicator in the midst of subtle vibration. Reading a message that is displayed across the screen, she nods and tucks it away once more. "They should be on the boat. Lower deck." Eating merrily no doubt, unbeknownst to the trouble that brewed only a floor or so above their heads. "Where to first?" It wasn't her mission in full, so it would do her some good to lend an ear to an experienced vandal. Pick up a few tips and tricks while she was here.
