Everything was spiraling out of control, and quickly. CJ stood up from assisting Lux and felt like they were in the middle of a vortex. Everything warped and snapped around time, like time bending; explosions and Pokemon sounds and
Victor Wexler trying to champion them to victory.
Adriana Delmar ’s Stufful gets absolutely demolished; thankfully it gets drawn back into its PokeBall and out of harms way.
I don’t have much for internal bleeding. [break][break]
Lux is, like, talking to them, saying something, CJ doesn’t really know; his Gallade went down in a hail of grit. Keldeo’s getting his absolute
ass handed to him, poor thing, and even Vic’s Dragapult seems to be lagging. The Aggron and Krookodile are roaring, screaming,
CJ you gotta move. You gotta do something. You gotta move you can’t just stand here and-- [break][break]
Vic’s Dragapult gets whacked so hard there’s a furrow the size of a crashed plane in the mountain. [break][break]
Get some rest. [break][break]
“Some rest?” CJ says, voice a wheeze, one eye twitching slightly.
“Some rest!” A squeak, really, almost a scream. They slap a palm to Lux’s chest, pushing him up and away, but needing the contact to cement things in their brain to prioritize.
“You’re fine. Don’t get hit again.” Adriana’s there, she’s
fine. Hailee’s there,
she’s fine. Vic is fine. Vic’s Dragapult is
not fine; CJ is by its side then, examining. Claw marks on his crests. That should be okay, probably has a headache, but mostly bone. Keratin. Nerves, but they have a hard head. Bite wound on tail, looks gnarly, but it keeps turning intangible when CJ tries to touch it.
“Fucking ghosts,” they snarl, pulling a pressure bandage out of their pack and wrapping it as best they can.
“He’ll look fucked up, but he’s fine,” CJ grunts, to themselves and also to Vic. [break][break]
We can do this. We can stay fine.[break][break]
Shea ducks under
Orion Lykos ’s surf, gathering energy in her body for another
superpower attack. She is there just after the Aggron turns Orion’s Hydreigon’s heads-- heads
plural-- to oobleck. She hits the thing and it lashes back with a roar, arm swinging in a wide slash, the sound of wrenching steel screaming through the air as CJ’s Mudsdale is nailed with a
metal burst. Iron projectiles slam into her, making her jerk with every hit; one hits her knee and she buckles, and the Aggron-- ferocious, unyielding-- delivers an uppercut to her stomach and launches her away. She spins in the air and comes crashing down, sides heaving with pained breath. [break][break]
“Fuck!” CJ hisses, running to their Mudsdale’s side; but as they kneel down next to her, they hear Orion’s voice, and they look back over their shoulder and watches the blood arc through the air.
“Motherfucker!” [break][break]
Orion’s on his back-- he moves, thank God, he
moves. CJ has to leave Shae to go to Orion who has somehow gotten to his feet, staggering. [break][break]
“Sit down, you dumb motherfucker!” CJ orders, forcing the reckless imbecile to his knees-- God, he’s so
tall, what the
fuck-- and they grabs Orion’s face, the unhurt side, and angles his head so they can look at the wound. It’s clean. A chunk of Orion’s cheek has been yeeted to the nether-realm. His jugular, thank fuck, is untouched. CJ drops their pack to the ground and digs through it with one hand, still holding Orion’s face with the other. [break][break]
“This is gonna hurt, you stupid fuck,” CJ cautions-- they have a moment, a spare moment, Orion’s Silvally is buying them time-- and pulls out a silver nitrate patch. They rip off the activator sheet and press the stiptic side to the worst part of Orion’s face wound to cauterize it, and stop the bleeding. After a few seconds they pull it away-- there was a ripping sound, like yanking off a bandaid, but the big flow of blood had stopped. There were patches of cauterized and clotted blood, eschar, stuck to Orion’s skin. It would die and slough and scar, but he wouldn’t bleed out. [break][break]
Out next came a bandage and CJ wrapped that motherfucker on tight, watching Orion’s collarbone pop and shift as they yanked it underneath their arm and slapped it-- harder than was necessary, really-- to adhere the wrap to itself. [break][break]
“If you fucking move again, I’ll kill you myself,” CJ promised, leaving him in the care of Hailee and Adriana, and going back to Shae. [break][break]
The Mudsdale’s unique body comprehension made it difficult to administer much first aid. The surface of her front legs were cracked and fractured, and mud-like ichor was spilling from gouges in her chest and withers onto the ground. CJ placed a comforting hand on her broken crest and recalled her before she could get any more injured. [break][break]
In a flash, Fen was out in her place, clacking her claws together. CJ advanced to Vic’s position, Excadrill close at hand.[break][break]
“I think we can use their size against them,” CJ said,
“if we push them far enough, we can drop them down the mountain.” [break][break]
Fen clawed the ground in excitement, showing how ready she was to leap to action.

CJ has to duck their head into their elbow to avoid spewing a snotty sneeze all over the poor Lilligant, who simply wants to do her job and beckon them onwards. They smile apologetically from beneath a reddened nose as they hurry on their way, box of Pokeballs tucked under their other arm that still holds the coffee. CJ hoped there weren’t going to be a whole lot more items passed out because they were running out of hands.
