Tianyu's chest expands appreciatively of the fresh air upon the balcony. He presses his eyes closed for a bare moment, savouring the now-muted noises of the conference, before sipping at his cocktail. Once more a picture perfect businessman, a faint smile touches his lips as he politely listens to Nikita speak, his head nodding subtly at her explanation.

"We're well enough established," he answers with a languid drawl. "You know how it is. Checking properties, licensing. Renting a space for R&D in Sootopolis was a bit of a zoning nightmare, truth be told."

Lightly clicking his tongue in disapproval at the whole of the process, he nonetheless shakes his head and asserts instead, "With production finally up we're here for new contracts more than anything." He muses silently what a waste of time the whole of the event has been, though wisely keeps his complaining to himself.

He then chuckles softly, something sharp in his gaze as he says instead, "We should be able to displace some of the local pharmacies in the first six months and then move along from there. You know how it all goes."

Tianyu hums a note low in his chest as he observes the landscapes, his crimson gaze appraising. "You do have a way with oils," he praises quietly.

His attention slowly slides from the artwork before him to the woman beside, a single brow arching in something akin the mirth at the suggestion he sit for a painting. "Not me, no," he assures with a single shake of his head, the action settling his decision.

"However," Tianyu after a single beat. "I do believe Daji would have the time for such an extravagance." As he speaks his head cants downwards to look at the Ninetales vixen at his side, the vulpine creature's nose tipping upwards with a haughty sniff. "What do you say," he asks the fox.

A succinct nod from the Ninetales has him smiling, and he asserts to Seraphine, "It seems the subject has been settled. What sort of schedule would we be working with?"

"That would be lovely," Tianyu answers, his rich baritone carrying across the spacious room; as he speaks his hand shifts to lightly rest behind his Ninetails's head, the vixen settling somewhat to in turn give a polite enough nod to the Smeargle. Once certain Daji will behave, however relative the term, Tianyu clasps his hands behind his back again and moves to follow Seraphine through the Galerie; his scarlet eyes dart here and there as he observes the artwork on display.

"Nothing too modern," the businessman muses as they walk. "I have a preference for acrylics but we can discuss the details at your leisure." He pauses briefly before a landscape to examine it, his gaze critical and sharp.

"Do you have a preferred medium? I know many artists do." Regardless of her answer, his office could use a touch of decor, and a landscape or portrait of Daji would be just the thing to enliven the area.

+ Seraphine D’aureville

Tianyu looks over unexpectedly as his name is spoken, his scarlet eyes briefly wide with surprise before his expression levels into a pleasant mask of warmth. "Yes, it is. I'm afraid you have me on the back foot." Bowing politely to Nikita, his head tilts faintly to the side at the offered hand; seeming resigned to something he extends his own hand as she introduces herself.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Wells," he replies easily. The conversation is momentarily interrupted by the appearance of their drinks, which Tianyu gratefully takes.

"I hope the conference has proven more fruitful for you than it has Fennekin." He quips with a soft laugh before taking a grateful sip of his cocktail. "But you're new to the Region, aren't you? I seem to recall something in the paper about Wells expanding."
[break]
As he awaits her answer, Tianyu cocks a single eyebrow and then suggests conspiratorially, "Let's take this outside. I could use some fresh air after so much droning."

"I do," Tianyu admits easily. "It's a shame the Region has come to such instability, but, well.." His voice trails off and he merely smiles as he walks alongside Caspian. Some things were best left unspoken, and the unrest in Kanto certainly tops many a list for silence.

Humming softly to acknowledge Caspian's following observation, Tianyu says in turn, "They all have their quirks, don't they? This Region has its own problems, like any other, if not a few more than one would expect. Then again, most of my meetings are for business." He chuckles deeply in his chest at that, his scarlet eyes alight with a personal mirth before glancing askance to Caspian. "Though I must say even then I've found the manners lacking. Etiquette doesn't seem to be what it used to."

"You know," he then muses conversationally. "I cannot recall the last time I toured Kalos. Their food is, as you said, exquisite." Pausing briefly, Tianyu glances at the nearby signs and steers the pair to the right towards the intended destination of the egg. "There used to be a delightful cafe in Lumiose we would visit for macaroons."

The clock turns 3:30 and that's precisely when Tianyu enters Galerie Mirage, his hands clasped behind his back and crimson gaze critical. At the man's heels trails a Ninetales vixen, her own scarlet attention somehow much more critical than the man she escorts.

A charming smile flashed, Tianyu bows at the waist to Seraphine as they spy once another, the rich baritone of his voice carrying throughout the airy gallery as he greets, "Miss D’aureville, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. Thank you for your time."

His head tipping towards the artworks surrounding the pair, he drawls pleasantly, "What a lovely gallery you have."

Tianyu made an appearance at the conference for just that: to be seen. Sure, there's networking to do, medical-oriented conventions such as this would mean business opportunities by way of manufacturing at the very least. Nonetheless, he had rather hoped for more interesting discussion panels and fewer drunks making their way through the centre's hallways.

Well, they couldn't all be winners.

Seeing himself from a discussion about osteoporosis, bone health, and the difficulties of joint replacements the Kantonian swiftly finds the open bar. His patience is frayed, as evident by the soft chime of his phone alerting him to one of his many brothers attempting to contact them. Resisting the urge to kick the silver-and-red Fennekin at his heels out of frustration, he fishes out the phone from his silken hanfu.

They never listen.

"Nǐ dǎ cuò diàn huà le.*" Tianyu snaps in Kantonese into the mobile as he answers it, immediately cutting the line after he's spoken. His brother could figure it out on his own for once. Instead, he flashes a warm smile to the nearby bartender, ignoring the buzz in his pocket, and murmurs calmly, "A yuzu cocktail, please." He inclines his head politely to the woman who comes up behind him, a bow short following, before he steps out of her way, allowing her to place her order as well.

Diving wasn't something Tianyu often found himself doing, save for the occasional vacation or photo opportunity for his social media. Nonetheless there he was, modestly dressed in a dark wetsuit and equipped with an oxygen tank on his back.

The ocean is crystal clear, the sunglow above echoed across the underside of the waves when Tianyu looks up. His crimson gaze then turns to sweep over the reef before him, hoping to catch sight of anything interesting.
