The concept of hungry Megalopolans staging out in the woods and kidnapping people for substance made Soyeon a bit more uneasy. Something about cannibals staging a little meet and greet while biding their time made them a liability to any poor camper or hiker that may wander into the area. She exhaled in annoyance and then shook her head.

Soyeon looked over at the little crystals on Zev's flesh that were bundled in little clusters as he thought to himself. A pang of interest came to her as the woman came closer to observe them. "Has your body been reacting differently to being within proximity to Necrozma? I'm not too knowledgeable about the science behind your powers, but if they do deal with light and darkness, it's something to note."

It was just a bit of humanity inside of her, caring for a man that could care any less about her. Maybe it was just a sort of quirk of hers. Regardless, she focused back on the actual subject matter, she continued to brainstorm with Zev.

"What exactly do you think the Megalpolans in Hoenn would do if they got word of Necrozma's return? I doubt they would in a mood to listen to us if we had their god in shackles. But if Velmos and Cotillard could tell them to stand down, would they? Their people are so shattered at this point. And this is all assuming that we can manage to even catch it, let alone keep it to ourselves. Do you have any plans about that yet? You can take down megalpolans fine with those claws, but I doubt you can take something like that alone."

Zev Harcourt

She was given a moment to explain herself, though Cillian looked even more disgusted by her as soon as he had heard who she had been working with. They must have had some history with one another, but she didn't want to waste too much time in her own head. Not when she was being manhandled by a Klefki.

"He came to me with samples of things he had found in Ultra Space. The first was a cluster of crystals that could open wormholes to Ultra Space, and the second was some sort of adhesive made out of Naganadel material. It was to be used by the general public, not for League purposes!"

Did she really know that for certain? It never came up, but as far as she knew, it wasn't like she was collaborating one something League affiliated.

Cillian Quinn

Their megalopolan friend continued to eyeball them both as they approached, though they did at least offer them some means of an escape from this little meeting of the two Guzzlords. Soyeon continued to sprint in order to keep up with the other twom as the sound of massive hungry Ultra Beasts were taking apart the school in no time at all.

"They can eat roughly several buildings worth of people and infrastructure per mouthful. I can't imagine they're ever going to be full."

Soyeon said as she ran towards the door with a soft neon glow coming from the outside of the building. Her mind did wonder about the Megalopolan current trying to save them though. Why would they possibly be willing to help them out now, of all times? She felt uneasy about the situation and while they appreciated the save, worried about what they were about to step into a trap. She was ready to reach for Ignis' Pokeball if things got too dangerous. Something that could break them out. But for now, they didn't really have a choice.

"Keep it up! We're almost there!"

Lulu Flint

"Hm, The False Sun..."

Soyeon reached for her tablet stylus, chewing on the end of it in thought as she began to pace around with the details Zev had for the moment. This was turning into quite the little mystery Zev had on his hands. While she would be happy to help him however she could, the scientist did have her reservations about whether or not he would welcome such help.

"I can understand them wanting to harm Necrozma, but there's clearly some contention with these two Megalopolan groups. The one we went to together clearly hold him in reverence, that being giving him those crystals from before. But if the group you ran into desire to harm it, I'd suspect there's some differences in opinion at play."

Soyeon paused, looking back at Zev as she looked over her notes from the interview with a free hand. She pulled up what she had in some attempt to brainstorm up something that could help. Or at least humor him a bit. "So which camp would that put the General in? He wants Rocket to capture Necrozma for their gain, but I don't imagine he wants to kill it. That would be their chance at a power source snuffed out permanently."

Zev Harcourt

The sudden hold on her by Cillian's Klefki had pinned Soyeon down in the chair. She struggled against it, which only caused the Klefki's grasp on her to tighten. Bound by the incredibly strong. By a few seconds, she's barely above to move her arms more than a few inches. Cillian spoke again, asking the same question as her eyebrows furrowed in thought.

"I-I don't know! I'm trying to think about everything! Ah-I...Just let go..."

Her heart was pounding in her chest. What did he want her to say? Why would she be here? Soyeon didn't really even know, maybe breaking a rule or something? Shit, what was she supposed to say? Was it a rpeort that hadn't been issued correct or some side comment she had made about one of her superiors?

Thoughts raced around inside of her purple, panicking noggin before an answer shot out of her mouth. One that she hadn't even filtered about whether or not to say.

"I-Is it about the research with Callan Young?" Soyeon asked, her expression grimacing the moments those words left her mouth. Fear dawned inside of her body. If Cillian hadn't heard about what she had been helping him with, he certainly did now.

"As far as he knows, I'm just some scientist unaffiliated with Rocket! If you can just let me explain..."

Cillian Quinn

Wonderful. A second Guzzlord had burst through another wall of the abandoned school, letting out a voracious cry of its own as the first one would appear quite reluctant on sharing its prey with the second. This would be just what they needed to buy them both time to escape, as Soyeon would look back towards Lulu and fled deeper into the school with her.

"This is unheard of. Two Guzzlords just picking a hunting ground within one another. It would be fascinating, if we weren't the food source."

She hurried along while dodging the pools of caustic stomach acid lining the floor and blocking their way out. They'd need to find some other way out of here before they got turned into Ultra Beast Chow. The darkness awaited their arrival as Lulu led the way into their salvation. Behind them, the two Guzzlords behind them starting fight with one another over who had first dibs over the scientist.

Just then, another presence made itself known to the both of them, though this was far more welcome than the Guzzlords. Soyeon flashed Lulu a look, as if to question whether or not it was a good idea to seek shelter from the Ultra Beasts with an unknown somebody.

"It beats melting in stomach acid." she dryly commented and hurried along to dive inside of the room the megalopolan had opened for the both of them.

Lulu Flint

His question only further proved to strain her already panicking mind to try and come up with a reason for why Cillian would have pulled her into this room. Soyeon felt the cool, cold air of the room cause her to shake slightly. Neither of them spoke for several moments as she was trying to think of something, anything to break this eerie silence.

"I don't know..." Soyeon said exasperated as her feat was only starting to heighten. Just being in this room was already creeping her out. "Did you need some kind of report done? Or some business to do with Ultra Space?"

Her eyes went all around the room while waiting for an answer. She hadn't seen the interior of whatever this room was used for, although the woman did finally look down to notice the bolted down chair and the rusted drain. Little features that hadn't caught up with her yet as she looked back at Cillian. "I'm kind of in the middle of something, sir. Can you please just tell me why I'm here?"

Cillian Quinn

The Genesect would waste no time and connecting everything together once they had unloaded much of what they were looking for. While not one for bug types, Soyeon couldn't help but marvel at the artificial Pokémon. It was fully primed and ready to enact whatever it was that Oscar had plans for on this day in regards to this venture into the Power Source.

She would have to see about getting one made for herself one of these days.

"I should have figured as much. It would be extremely beneficial to have Dyna Energy fueling anything, really. I'm hoping its put to more productive uses than what I assume it will be used for." she clicked her tongue in annoyance. "But I digress. I'm very eager to see where this research goes and how it can be used."

Her speech was interrupted by the sound of the Genesect pushed one device over towards Oscar, emitting a harsh scraping sound as she winced. At his question, Soyeon peaked up from her position on the laptop, and from fawning over the little steel type. 

"Answers, really. I wouldn't be a scientist if I wasn't curious about everything. I've studied Ultra Space and Infinity Energy enough that I believed it would be important that I assist your team alongside your efforts. I would imagine that Dyna Energy functions somewhat similar, though differs from being something reliant of Pokémon themselves. And besides..." she smirked.

"It beats being chased around by Pokémon in Ultra Space."

The floor continued to quake before them as Soyeon braced herself for the ground to open up some other method to impede their progress. What she wasn't counting on was the roof to suddenly give away, as a recognizable dragon-type with a wide mouth would shove the interior roof inside of its maw. Chunks of foundation and concrete gone within seconds, as if it were simple dough from cookies. Soyeon let out a gasp of surprise as it made itself known.

"A Guzzlord?"

It would stare down at its two targets before locking eyes on her and starting to charge. She scrambled to get up and began to hurry away back to Lulu before a timely invention by her Genesect would cut the Ultra Beast off. She looked down with a smirk, having to remind herself to find one of those for herself, one of these days. "Thank you, Ms. Flint." she said, now back up on her feet and frowning at their drawn Ultra Beast.

"I don't think we can take something that large by ourselves. We'll need to retreat or find something to use to our advantage."

Lulu Flint

Soyeon walked inside of Cillian's office by the aforementioned enforcer that had been sent to collect her by the underboss. She had been in the middle of an average work day when the enforcer entered and made his intentions known. Expecting the worst, Soyeon's color turned pale as she began to make her way alongside him. There was no fight, no struggle. She went willingly and quietly.

The scientist came face to face with the man she had met before during her time guarding the exit of the source of power. That same man who gleefully showed her his most famed present, Shadow Lugia. her expression gave it all away. She was terrified of him, but not as much as she would be once alone. Soyeon followed his orders and sat down across from him in his office. Trembling slightly, the woman looked back as they were given privacy.

The last traces of her existence could be here in this very room.

"S-So, did you need anything, s-sir?" she asked, trying to make some attempt at buying time to rack her brain about what she may have done to land her in this position.

What was she forgetting?

Cillian Quinn

Soyeon couldn't have blamed the Megalopolans for making a new city in another dimension. There was very little that they could really do, stuck in Ultra Space where they were. The news still came as a shock to her, to know that Necrozma had taken Zev there, of all other places! The woman thought to herself of what it could have looked like, Zev defending himself from the terrifying Pokémon alongside other residents of the city.

"You lead such an exciting life, I can tell." Soyeon said while scribbling down a couple of things on her notepad. Just the basic gist of what he had told her. She was a little let down from the lack of anything of note.

Until then he showed her a crumbled up scrap paper with a crude drawing of a symbol on it. Was it some sort of sun or something?

"How curious…" Her fingers tapped against the side of the clipboard in a rhythm, sketching out a crude version of what the symbol looked like. "I haven't come across that in any of my studies. Do you have any other details about it? Was it on a banner? Floating in front of the building? It would help a lot in narrowing this down."

Zev Harcourt

There she was yet again, stuck in the middle of volunteering herself for duties that would free her from the impending prison of work that was her laboratory. Soyeon did appreciate the approval to step out of the lab and come with Oscar nearby the Cave of Origin. She was partly reminded of the time she had spent with Cillian Quinn guarding the entrance not to long ago. This time, though, there wouldn't be the horrific display of the most terrifying of shadow Pokémon. Thankfully, this was somewhat preferred.

She came busy helping the Genesect along with moving machinery and other various things that the man who stood nearby. At his question, the scientist swung her head over towards Oscar. "Not as much as you might have hoped. I'm not as knowledgeable about them as Ultra Space, but there's a couple of questions I may be able to answer."

The scientist made her way over towards the man and wiped off of her hands.

"Why? Are you trying to learn something in specific?"

"It's more than likely just that." Soyeon agreed while her eyes fell onto the vial for a moment. It was more than likely not too much of an issue if it was all out of her system. She shouldn't worrying so much over it, but still, something nagged at her that she should be paying more attention to it. Maybe it was just that perfectionist in her? Such a curse to bear for a mind like hers.

"So what happened with you after we were separated? It's not every day that a legendary Pokémon pulls you aside. Knowing you, I can't imagine fighting wasn't involved. Did you learn anything else while out there? You've got to tell me everything!"

Soyeon pulled up a clipboard and readied herself to take notes with her eyes shimmering full of wonder. There was not one bit of doubt that something interesting didn't occur when they had forcibly parted ways with one another. Otherwise, why would the beast just waste time throwing her away like she was a used wrapper? She twirled a pen in her free hand and looked up at Zev.
