soyeon began life as many others, a bright mind with an innate curiosity that knew no bounds. The girl grew up alongside the youth of Kalos, her birth name being handed down on her father's side of the family. while most kids would go out and run around during recess, soyeon was well content with staying inside and reading from one of the many books about a whole range of topics. [break][break]

Astronomy had always stuck out with her ever since receiving a telescope as a chrostmas gift one year. Ever since she laid eyes on them, soyeon's always wanted to reach out and explore the cosmos above. It culminated in her padsion forbscience and deciding to become a scientist when she was older.[break][break]

Said career path was easier said than done, as soyeon's family lacked the funds to attend schooling beyond primary school. She continued to pursue her individual studies but found employment as an assistant lab technician at a herbology lab near home. While it was nice to work in a science related field, but soyeon had no way of being promoted without a degree, something well beyond her reach. [break][break]

It wasn't until the introduction of a shady individual that her life would change. He came representing an education company for struggling people who desired higher education. The terms were relatively simple: they would provide the funding for her to attend any school of her choice and foot any bills regarding her education. The payment they owed would be paid when soyeon had graduated. Not one to pass on such an opportunity, the family accepted.[break][break]

From this chance, Soyeon flourished in college as she began to step out of her comfort zone for the first time in life. She had a regular group of friends, attended honors level courses and received exemplary marks for her classes each semester. Her life had a purpose as she pursued her studies in astronomy and physics. To her surprise, her benefactors would provide insight for her projects and thesis regarding ultra space and the capabilities it could bring to humanity. Her professors and teachers had high hopes for her future after university. Although many remarked that her sources and clearance for her papers was somewhat unusual for somebody of her status. The day she graduated with honors, the organization that had put her through university revealed themselves to be Rocket that such hopes were all but diminished.[break][break]

Soyeon's payment came in the form of threats against the well being and livelihood of herself and her family if she refused to join Team Rocket's newest division regarding ultra space. Unwilling to put her family in danger, the woman agreed and has kept her involvement in their affairs away from the public eye. [break][break]
