"Thank you. 'Preciate that." Harvey let out a silent breath of relief. He then watched Don waddle over to Glee and return her embrace before locking his attention onto the brewing fight before him.

"Right." Harvey responded before releasing another quiet breath, unable to prevent it from quivering slightly. All the ways his Pokemon could possibly suffer in this fight played through his mind. Fighting was not new to Pokemon, but his had been so coddled. Not only that, but his Houndour was especially weak to both the Pokemon that Temp had brought. While his Starmie could possibly put up more of a fight, this was definitely going to be way more than any of them could handle.

Harvey shook his head. Even though his Pokemon would probably lose, they had potential...and maybe potential alone would be enough for Temp.

'Alright. Let's go.'

"Imai, use Light Screen." He commanded. The Starmie wiggled eagerly, and the Light Screen was cast.

"Sampson—Nasty Plot." He ordered. The Houndour howled, raising his special attack.

'Their move.'

Harvey burst into the small clearing where he had left his backpack, the Manectrics grazing his heels. As he sprinted for his backpack he saw a stranger standing by his bike. A wave of relief washed over him.

Thank—wait. That’s—?

Before Harvey could finish his thought, the high-pitched leers of the Manectrics rang behind him. Harvey closed the distance between him and his backpack, snatched it up from the ground, unzipped the front, yanked out a Pokeball, and prayed he hadn’t grabbed his Starmie.

“Gimme a hand?” Harvey nearly commanded the “stranger” as he frantically opened the Pokeball. A Houndour leaped out with a snarl, and Harvey reached into his bag to prepare the next Pokeball—his unskilled Houndour would not last long.

"Fire Fang!" He ordered. The little Houndour immediately launched the directed attack on one of the Manectrics, but inflicted only slight damage.

Harvey's gaze burst wide open upon seeing the second Pokémon, its red eyes meeting his. He couldn't believe what was happening. Him ride that?

"No, I haven't," He replied, scanning the Yanmega's giant wings. He imagined himself sitting between them, watching as the world beneath him became smaller, and smaller, and smaller. He imagined the technical issues, the gusts of wind, the miscalculations, the endless possible ways things could go wrong. He then imagined the results: the slipping, the falling, the falling, the falling, down, down, down, until—

"Maybe I should stay here." He stated firmly. "Keep an eye on the truck."

"That's cool." Harvey replied, thinking about when he probably would have learned all that in school. The old Harvey didn't care much about history. However, the new Harvey—well, he cared enough to admit that sometimes, history was pretty interesting.

Pulled from his thoughts, Harvey registered Yuina's instructions to him. He slid the dolly right up to the pillar and placed its bottom on the ground, one hand on the package to prevent it from falling forward. With a grunt, he then lifted and pulled the box off of the dolly and gently leaned it against the pillar.

"I'll go check on the Pokémon. Make sure they got the right packages." He said, grabbing the handle of the dolly and kicking it on its wheels once more. Not that he doubted the Pokémon's capabilities, of course; the designated packages were right in front of the truck's back doors and were separated from the rest of the cargo.

Yuina Higashi

"Pleasure to meet you, Captain." He nodded curtly before casually waving back at the Beedrill. A playful smirk flashed across his face before his mind returned to the situation at hand.

"But the truck didn't come with a spare tire. Real lucky." He scoffed. He placed a hand on his hip as he watched Shalin's interaction with her Pokémon. As she mentioned giving him a lift, Harvey tightened his fingers on his hip bone. The images her offer conjured in his mind knocked fast on his heart.

"I need—I need to get to some cabin in the woods in Route 121." He stumbled as his eyes devoured the sight of the Beedrill's hefty wings, suddenly aware of how solid the ground felt beneath his feet. He fumbled over a potential response to her offer, scrambling for a scrap of hope.

"Your Beedrill couldn't hold us both...?" He said, almost prayer-like.

Shalin Nariya

Harvey reigned back a frown. While he wasn't a pro fighter by any means, he definitely knew how to defend himself. Pokémon battles, on the other hand, were not his area of expertise. He only engaged in them when absolutely necessary (which was not often). Not only that, but poor Donalbain...

"Yeah. Cool." He nodded. "But so you know, my Mime Jr. isn't doing so hot. He'll fight but not like usual. The other two are fine."

Not that their usual fighting is much—

Harvey's thought was lost as his attention was stolen by the Vaporeon. He chuckled as the cute creature enticed the Mime Jr., who responded with sluggish yet mesmerized cheers.

"But maybe your Vaporeon's energy will rub off on him." He observed as he held back a second chuckle. His Starmie and Houndoor had begun leaping around the new Pokemon with glee.

"Anyway, how'd you wanna start?"

Harvey stopped dead in his tracks. His brows gently lowered over his widened eyes as he fumbled over a few "uhs" and "ums". Wasn't this young woman at all concerned about inviting a strange, grown man into her house? Also, while the promise of hot chocolate was enticing, he wasn't about to make a habit of entering random people's homes—regardless of how harmless they seemed.

When his thoughts finally caught up with his mouth, he replied: "That's—that's very kind of you. But I'm alright. Thank you for the offer." He exchanged a half smile and a gentle wave before turning back around to leave.

With the literal weight of his job now lifted off of his shoulders, Harvey could have cheered. However, he knew how to express his relief in more appropriate ways.

"Thank you very much, miss." He smiled. He kicked back the dolly onto its wheels and turned it in front of him. As he pushed it towards Yuina, he listened to her Hisuian speech and nodded.

"Cool." He replied to her explanation. He trailed behind her as she led him away, the squeaky old wheels on the dolly echoing in the spacious halls.

"You moving to Hisui?" He queried.
