in the midst of trying to squeeze his memory for exact words from an exact moment, he asks mars.

patriarch of the family and one of rocket's prominent members of kanto decades ago, and at one point, one of the respected, high-ranking bosses of the organization. separated work and private life so effectively that his family and friends knew none of his connections with the underworld.

tried to cut ties with the organization after his third son was born, but the stunt ended up costing him a wife and a son. cuts his losses and moved to sinnoh with his twins, nursing his depression as a cranky old man at celestic town.



romulus darius vega
fate series, achilles

older twin brother. currently stationed at kanto as a rocket elite-- a position important enough to not get suspicious of, but not enough to be in the spotlight. infiltrated kanto's rocket with the intent to find his missing sibling and 'fix' his father.

more serious and cold than anything, but makes it up with sheer charisma and knowing what to say. knows how to hide information about himself well, and is working under a different alias.



remus jared vega
fate series, mori nagayoshi

younger twin brother. works at home as a freelance programmer and analyst to keep an eye on their father. keeps in contact with his twin regardless.

has grown to be cheery and optimistic as the mood maker of their broken family. the local boy next door of the town, he has gained the reputation of being the go-to person of the neighborhood when they need assistance.

priam relays the information to everyone else who had been busy down below. his loud voice, not being entirely new to anyone he knew, manages to do it from high above.

"two entrances ahead. i can't make out what else's ahead since it's too dark out there, but there's definitely something in there!"

a pat of his braviary's side gets them to descend where the two entrances lie, which then the pokemon gets recalled back to its ball. a literal crossroad was before them, and with no other clue to go for, priam decides to follow his gut feeling.

rocket's objective was to explore the area. even if the worst case scenario being that the rest of rocket go to the left while he's left to his own devices, priam makes an executive decision to go ahead like delibirds from that one delivery service.

"i'm going right!"

taking out a pokeball, he releases his shiinotic again, letting its natural light illuminate the immediate area shrouded by darkness before.

being exposed to similar energies before, the shiinotic also decides to do its own thing and strength sap its surroundings for nutrients. nothing major, since she's just idling anyways

he waits and sees the effects the shrines have on people. painful alterations to their bodies did not seem to faze majority of them from trying. priam voices out his main concern that will most likely fall into deaf ears.

"uh, guys, what if that's permanent?"

the risk of not being able to work with in her lab, or just getting out without attracting unwanted attention in general, stops priam from trying it out. suspension of disbelief will probably bring things to an optimistic conclusion though.

a breath of relief comes when decides not to join them as well. while the part where he called him 'my love' somehow did not give much reaction from his part, priam decides to play along in humor.

"yah. i'll go scout too, then. have fun sweetie!"

while everyone busies themselves now that the rush of the escape is done and the expedition was in a state of preliminary lull, priam takes out his braviary and hops on its back, ordering it to fly high up.

he takes out a small single lens binoculars from a small pouch where he kept important things, such as stickers he stuck on the genesect, and takes a survey of the land from a height. they need a direction to go to, instead of just playing around on anything they stumble upon on.

one moment he was in sootopolis' streets, and the next he's all the way at the alleys of the city, hidden from the sight of the public.

a kirlia makes the escape easy for the rocket. in a moment's notice, a short blink would suffice as long distance travel with teleport took time.

priam doesn't look back and catches his breath without taking his mask off. he pulls out a burner phone, texts a message that marks the end of his job, and then sends it to the next one on the line to incite a rebellion.

he drops the phone on the ground afterwards and crushes it with a stomp of his boot, leaving the electronics scattered on the concrete. he motions for his kirlia to do the next teleport afterwards.

"have you heard of heatran?"

an ultra rare pokemon that none has ever seen in the wild. most were caught from deep within the earth and were just redistributed to capable trainers. he wouldn't be surprised if ceri hasn't seen one.

"that one's on the top of the list! they resist, like, eleven types! that means i can just turn my brain off when i fight with them since they're likely to be strong against any kind of attack you throw at them! not to mention they crawl up the ceiling too and swim in lava! two important points of their coolness factor!"

just like slugma, but priam ignores that comparison if he can.

"second place goes to ferroseed, hands down. scizor would be a contender if scyther just wasn't that much cooler than it!"

priam looked offended, crossing his arms and huffing.

"you're just jelly that you can't go that fast," he argues with a smug tone. that was enough to feed his ego and let him drop the subject. "but that's okay. everyone's not as great as i am," he says as a parting shot.

he looks around for his equipment and finds his fishing rod surviving the wild ride after being lodged at the corner of the boat. his pail was gone though. probably now part of the garbage littering the waters of sootopolis.

an arm raises the pole when he finds it before he dramatically swings it and casts the line to the water. "we're fishing then!"

priam then takes a seat and is somehow surprisingly still and quiet afterwards.

he scratches his head as he thinks of one specific event that lead to it. all the weird things happened during the past three years that it's difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of things.

the most recent one was easy to remember though.

"kinda. well, it's doesn't really involve the word, but it's, like, got me thinking more about it, ya feel me?"

there wasn't a more accurate thing he can say to describe the sensation. it's just a status condition inflicted on him all of a sudden, without any warning nor explanation.

"i blame that cool little dude though! that floating blue rat!" he grabs an imaginary rat in the air and shakes it. "fucking hate him. messed me all up like those psychic-type torture things rocket did on kanto!"

priam follows lulu and peers over as well.

"i'm taking a closer look."

he scales down the ditch, sliding with his urshifu following him as he approaches the houndoom. he'd been kind of somewhat maybe friendly with it before (though his judgement may be jaded with optimism) but his pokemon has to place a paw on priam's shoulders to stop him from going closer.

there's no resistance from priam after his pokemon gets him to err on the side of safety. sticking closer to the urshifu that can protect him in case the houndoom gets more aggressive as usual again, he crouches down and speaks with it.

"pspspspspsp," priam calls the mega. "whatchu got there, djally?"

priam's stunned. for a moment, he doesn't know how to react. there was such intensity in just that one sentence that anything he'd say would probably just poke the bear.

he'd rather not be on lulu's shit list for doing that.

"w-well, the fact that he wanted something from us means that we're winning the arms race, right? we're still ahead! fuck that guy! we got better things now anyways!"

priam's not really sure of what technology was stolen, but throwing out words of encouragement and hyping up their situation seemed to be the best thing he could do at the moment.

he takes his seat, not as nervous as bryan as this was not his first rodeo with a rocket boss.

the smile fades into panic as bryan gives him the mic.

"i, er, yeah. tests from the blue mulch, both from league and rocket's research teams, concluded proper, uh, procedures to harness its properties to revive the dead."

lots of words that weren't used in casual conversation was too taxing for priam. thankfully, most of it would be previous knowledge if walsh does indeed receive his own reports.

"i've attempted to revive a gabite successfully. when it approached the tree, it did not receive the same opposition. rather, it, uh, hmm... was wanted by the tree."

priam wets his lips as he stops himself from physically biting them. the presence of his gabite wasn't supposed to be known in case it becomes a subject of interest. still, this was the right thing to do, he supposed. for the glory of rocket and all.

"guzzlord, a pokemon of the same situation, did not seem to be affected like it though. probably because it's an ultra beast or something?"
