Xerneas continues to watch idly as Bryan went on his tangent, veering off the topic as he unleashed the floodgate of emotion he had been holding in so long. [break][break]

Watching the man known as Bryan delarosa crumble away and the frighten and hurt child that they took in resurfaced for once as he ripped into the ground and threw a massive rock at a tree to try and shatter it.

He recovered quickly after the fight with Kyurem. He hadn't played a major role in it, remaining in the outskirts of the fight. He was afraid to fight that thing as it consumed legendaries and swelled in size because of it's diet. He wondered what would have happened if it managed to consume xerneas, what would have become of him? [break][break]

he physically felt fine, but his mental state was the worst it had ever been. He had grown apathetic, exhausted, and quite frankly disassociating. All of his recent conversations had worn on him, a type of wound he couldn't heal passively. The voices of several individuals echoed in his mind mint frost, priam conrad, Zev Harcourt, Tempest Quinn, and the most loud of them all Isaac Merlo. [break][break]

'What do you want?' [break][break]

He took a drag of his cigarette and stomped the butt of it onto the floor underneath his heel as both he and Zev Harcourt stared at Oldale hospital. He had been ordered to strike the hospital while the league forces were weakened and exhausted.

He's taken back, literally, he walks backwards into a tree at Xerneas's piercing gaze. He expected Xerneas to have his back, to be his ally, his partner. Yet instead here he was, getting ganged up on. He bumps into the tree and it creaks and shakes at his unnatural strength pushing it. "W-What?" [break][break]

"Is one incorrect?" [break][break]

Once again, he was told that he was going in too deep for rocket. First priam conrad , now Isaac Merlo . Was he? His grip on reality was fraying at the seams, his humanity decaying with each passing day.[break][break]

This disconnect had him disassociating further and further as the human known as Bryan delarosa became more and more a distant dream and wolf replaced it. "He should be LUCKY I even associated with him! I'm a fucking GOD!" he answers back to Xerneas who was surprised by this sudden burst of anger. [break][break]

"Delarosa." he says calmly as bryan continues to rant "I can fucking do whatever I want! I have that right dont I?! I came out on top and did the fucking IMPOSSIBLE!" [break][break]

"Delarosa." [break][break]

"So who is HE to leave me and just walk away when he was just a fuckin lo-" [break][break]

"BRYAN." the voice erupts through the forest as it stomps it's foot and demands silence. The nearby pidgey flying off elsewhere out of fear of what may transpire there and Bryan also falls silent, fear becoming evident on his face for isaac to witness.

"I brought a bunch of my grass types with me to support anddd." he says as Bryan places two fingers into his mouth and whistles as suddenly a shiny ribombee and a regular ribombee come into view, leading the charge of a hoard of cutiefly to start pulling the weeds and spreading. Meanwhile shaymin crawled over to howard and sat on his feet, much like a cat and began to take a nap and Bryan tilted his head at howard, wondering what he'd do.

He pauses for a moment as temp expresses some sentiment of concern, however a surge of emotions rushes through his body. "N-No!" was all that slipped out before he regains his composure and quickly dons his tough man persona again. [break][break]

"No. He can't hear us, I-" he says as he realizes part of him didn't want to answer out of fear of what Xerneas thought. What if he COULD hear him? What if it retaliated against him for it? [break][break]

When did he start to think these types of things? When did he start to fear what Xerneas thought of him? All of the recent opinions he had been hearing over and over again had fertilized the seeds of doubt. Isaac Merlo, Zev Harcourt, elijah gardner's original argument with him. It all coalesced into a cacophony of words that he had enough of hearing. He starts to dig in his pockets looking for a cigarette to cope with the suddenly overload he felt. [break][break]

"My relationship?" he repeats "I uh.I guess an...overseer? A teacher?" he says but in truth he wanted to answer as the realization dawns on him, a means to chain him down. It had been abundantly clear that during his fights in the event dubbed resurfaced treasures, the creature stopped him from fighting when he wanted to continue. "I viewed him as a friend. I guess to him i'd be more like...a child?"

Other failures haunt him as well as @isaac's name is mentioned. "Slippery bastard that one. Isaac. I encountered CIAN MAHER at his gym but within fucking minutes mosquitos descended all around me." he groans. [break][break]

Despite all his strength, it wasn't enough to kill them and make an example of them to others. [break][break]
