The sun hovers above the cruise ship with incredible strength. It's just past noon, prime time, and Erin's rotom phone is providing her with relaxing background music as she reads a book at one of the ship's less populated terraces. That is to say, one of the rotom phone's apps has been programmed to take the sound of the waves all around them, cancel the noise of people in the vicinity, and play that feed in a louder volume than it would've been heard otherwise. A clever invention programmed by none other than herself and for no other reason than being bored one day at work.

As sweet as the background sounds were, though, they did nothing to moderate the heat. She could really use a drink right about now. Luckily for her, an employee happens to pass by just in time.

"Do me a favor and bring me a frozen margarita, will you? Mago-flavored." Erin stops then to take a proper look at the girl. Blonde and with a gentle expression; just the kind of person Erin likes to avoid. Most importantly, her face is one she has fresh in her mind. She met her not long ago in Slateport. "Ah, it's you... Saharah?"

How in the world did Savannah afford a luxury cruise? Well, that was an easy question: she didn't. Before you get the wrong idea.. No, Savannah did not sneak onto the cruise for a much needed moment of respite. While she wished she was a normal passenger, reality was much less glamorous.

"Do me a favor and bring me a frozen margarita, will you? Mago-flavored." That's right, Savannah was an employee on the cruise ship. "Yes, ma'am!" her response was immediate as if it had been programmed into her DNA. Honestly, that was almost the case.

She was about to scurry off when the woman spoke again. Savannah pivoted, ready to take note of the passenger's new order when-

"Ah, it's you... Saharah?" Upon closer inspection, recognition flashed across her face. "Oh, Miss Erin!" She probably shouldn't be that surprised. Erin fit among the classy passengers with ease. It was a blaring reminder of how outclassed Savannah was in - well - everything.

However, the odds of running into one of the many, many residents of the Hoenn region twice in a row were highly unlikely. A strange coincidence considering she it hadn't been long since she met Erin. The customer was always right, but she murmured, voice barely audible, "Oh, uhm, it's Savannah." It's a small world after all, isn't it?

"I'll be right back with your drink-" Savannah stumbled forward as the boat suddenly rocked. A siren rang loudly as the captain spoke over the loud speakers, "Pirates! Embrace for impact!"

Uh-oh. Cue the pandemonium which spread as quickly as wild fire.

Right. Savannah. She totally knew that. Erin stifles a laugh, so convincing it might as well have been real. Her plan is to laugh it off as a joke, but it's stopped midway. It's in the middle of its execution that the boat rocks.

Honestly, she's not scared as much as she is annoyed. Why choose a cruise when she could've easily taken off on her noivern? Until now, she expected it to be a much more peaceful ride. Clearly that isn't the case anymore.

The noivern in question is released from her pokéball with a click. Erin's about to climb on her shoulder when she remembers the blonde girl. "Need a ride?" she asks Savannah, a lot more calm and composed than the situation warrants.
