This was hell, Oscar was convinced. There was no way there could be any other explanation for why he was constantly compelled to compete on this stupid race course. At this point death was a better alternative, yet he could not stop. He pushed on because he knew there had to be a purpose, some sort of reason for his strife! And so once again he watched as Grievous bolted across the course, his mega evolved form a red blur to the ever-present crowd. Grievous's Agility and Speed Boost brought him a firm start, but how long would it last?

The fatigue was slowly creeping up in the two. Always doing the same course, the same combo, who wouldn't be fatigued? Both mentally and physically. Yet the rewards. The prizes. at least the race course wasn't like the obstacle one where you need to boost defense since it's just a straight line they need to cross, not some kind of takeshi's castle ripoff.

his smeargle shares its trainer's state of being moody since there's seemingly no end to it and forces itself to use agility so it can get to the end faster.

"yeah yeah i know let's just get this over with." he didn't even want to meet his sharpedo's gaze as the tailwind picked up all around them. so his little shark was off with amazing agility as always and swam through the course. his competitive nature earning him a speed boost that would make short work of this course even if both he and kaz were wondering how many times they had done this one and if they were going to go insane by the end of it. hopefully the prizes really were worth all the trouble.

Grievous cackled as the Tailwind enhanced his Agility and Speed Boost combo. It was a horrific noise that echoed across the arena, sending shivers down Oscar's spine. What monster had he created? Would Grievous ever be the same? Would he ever be the same? Oscar wept, for the darkness was deep and had no end. When will death bless him with sweet release? The agony was too much, he longed for deliverance.

the smeargle's legs go as fast as it can carry it, zooming across the course to finish it with the least time possible. there's only one dimension in this game, but at least that one dimension is something that the smeargle seems to enjoy.

kyle doesn't though. he wants this to end. he doesn't even know why he signed up for another. maybe he actually hates himself.

time was of the essecne for them as this was the final time they could probably do this and win. so they needed speed on their side and luckily kazimir hoped onto his sharpedo and surfed along the waves with him. "c'mon buddy, we're in the final stretch so lets make it count." it was lucky that he's done this so many times enough to not feel like he was about to fall off. actually its amazing that he never actually did fall off his sharpedo and fail this challenge for them. guess this meant that this whole pokeathalon wasn't a total loss if he was learning some new skills.

Was it over so soon? Holy shit this was a new record for Oscar, which lightened his spirit slightly. Grievous had no opportunity to appreciate his time, he was running too fast. All he could think about was mocing forward, always moving forward never looking back. The run was mindless as it was pointless, a cynical loop of what he had done many times before. He had no idea how close he was to greatness, that the actual end was in sight. All he had to do was keep going. Push forward Grievous please. Please!
