The houndoom’s nostrils flared, tracking the scent of a pokemon as her muzzle skimmed the surface of the earth. Maverick let out a sigh, warm gaze flickered to the cloudy sky as he adjusted his backpack he specific bought just to carry this egg around. Maverick wasn’t the type to take care of eggs. It wasn’t that he wasn’t good at it, just didn’t really have the patience too. This was his first egg either. Back home, he raised several pokemon from eggs including Varys, Rurik, and many more. This wasn’t his first egg here on Hoenn. But when hatched, it was a pokemon he wasn’t really wanting so he traded it off to someone else. He hoped that this egg was something he wanted.[break][break]

A vial growl snapped Maverick out of his daze as a Crobat appeared. It hovered before them, moving side to side at it let out mini screeches. “Go away,” the man groaned, motioning for the creature to get lost, “We didn’t do anything and we don’t want anything to do with you.” Azula let out another snarl, lips peeled back to show the wild pokmeon her teeth that she would grading rip the pokemon apart with. The crobat remained, sending a cross poison in their direction. “Azula,” the man barked, covering his face, “Get rid of it.”[break][break]

Azula reacted even before her trainer barked orders. She leaped in front of her trainer, taking the bit. She tensed as the poison coated her face. But, that wasn’t going to stop her. Taking a deep breath in, she could taste the sulfur within her throat. And when ready, her muzzle bust open and a stream of flames shot out towards the Crobat in a flamethrower. She hit her mark, the bat screeching as his skin set ablaze. It fled without another peek at the invaders while Azula moved away from her trainer to shake off what she could of the toxic substance.[break][break]

Maverick frowned, coming up to her with a rag and trying to get some off of her as well. “Thanks,” he mumbled as he carefully got the stuff off her face as much as he could, “Let just look around for a little bit longer then all get you home and get the rest off before it starts to burn.” The hell hound let out a muffed bark, not feeling the effects of the poison just yet. However, her substance was so frequent she could track anymore. “Let head that way,” the man told her, motioning with a nod, “There might be something over there.”

Nostrils flared with the intake of scents, one of them stood out from the rest. With the bat gone, the canine continued to follow the familiar scent. It was different yet familiar. She lifted her nose to the breeze. And when the scent confirmed in the air, the houndoom darted in the direction of the creature. This made Maverick’s brow raised, wondering what he had found as he was swift to follow her lead.[break][break]

It didn’t take long for her to track down the familiar scent as a cacturne clicked its tongue and reached down to pick up trash that someone laid on the ground. A sigh escaped the grass and dark type, moving to put it in a near by garage pile she started. Her gaze shifted over the scenery until Maverick and the wild pokemon made eye contact. It was at the moment, the man knew who this creature was as it rushed over to him with arms opened wide.[break][break]

Panic filled the man as he waved his hands in a no in front of him. But the creature ignored him, wrapping its needle arms around him and hugging tight. “Ouch ouch damn that hurts,” he cried out in pain as the needles stabbed his delicate human skin, “Let me go Sorrel. You are hurting me.” The houndoom throw her head back in a celebrating howl, long arrow tipped tail twitched with delight. “It’s nice to see you too,” he tried ti wiggle against the hug even though it hurt, “I can see you evolved sense our last encounter.” The wild pokemon let him go, a large grin spread across its face as it became to making clicking nose and hums. Maverick frowned, knowing why this was. “I can see you still are unable to talk,” he sighed, forcing a smile on his face in hopes to keep the pokemon in good spirits, “Maybe someone in Hoenn can help you.”[break][break]

Sorrel has always had a vocal defect sense the day they met. He was hoping maybe evolution would help but clearly not. Despite its scary appearance, she has always been kind and sweat but got scared easy when it came to things she wasn't sure about. She loved to help in any way she could and tried to be brave for both her trainer and her mate. Speaking of mate...[break][break]

The cacturne then frowned, hugging its hands then shrugging. “I’m sorry,” the man mumbled, “I haven’t see Aspen anywhere.” Despite being unable to talk both its name and human language, him and the pokemon had found ways to understand each other. At the sounds of her lost mate still being lost, she seemed very down. Hoping to get her to be happier, the man expanded his hand to rest on her shoulder. “But, we can look for him together. I mean, I bet there aren’t many Nuzleafs around. And who knows, he might of evolved like you.” The wild pokemon nodded, somewhat of a grin reappeared. Reaching into his pocket, the man pulled out a pokeball and presented it to her. “Do you want to rejoin the team?” It was up to her.
