Oh, but of course he had to explain this.

He was sorely tempted to—never mind, he was going to say it as it was.

“The way you project your charisma has the general aura of wanting to crush everyone else underfoot until you’re the only one standing at the very top of everything else. Like the ruler of the known world, or at least, the master of this entire region.”

Well, Alexei wanted to add a dash of arrogance and superiority complex to that explanation, but decided to shelve those thoughts for the moment.

“An overwhelming ego that suffocates those who don’t agree with how you run things, if you want a summary. But then again this is just my personal opinion.”

And no, he wasn’t going to bring up the fact that him and Balder had also talked about Olivia Abbiati—unless the topic went in that direction again.
