kyle tosses a frisbee up in the air. it flies in a nice arc, causing a smile on kyle's face. he hasn't found the time to play with a frisbee recently, so it was nice to see that he can still throw it properly.

'maybe i should get people to play ultimate with me.'

he expects his mightyena to catch it, only for the disc to hit him at the back of his head. he doesn't budge though, outside of a small whimper, as his attention is fixated on something else.

kyle follows his gaze, wondering what might have caught his attention.

the mightyena ignores the frisbee for a good while and decides to check the thing on the tree instead. a huge ass bug settles on the bark of the said tree, perhaps sleeping since it's probably nocturnal.

kyle was inclined to just pick up the frisbee and try again had his pokemon not approached the venomoth and take a chunk of it with its bare maw. kyle gets on his :whatthe: face as he watches his pokemon bring the venomoth towards him.

"that's poisonous," kyle mentions, taking a pokeball out as he watches his mightyena do what it does. "i'm not bringing you to the pokemon center asap if you get tummy aches later."

there's something about his pokemon's selective intelligence that makes him disturbed. regardless, he lobs the pokeball at the venomoth before it can even wake up from its nap.
