Several of the green grunts had been complaining about a particular brand of pest in the outskirts. Apparently their attempts at solo training montages were going sour as a result of a hoard of Gulpin. Or perhaps just one, the facts were unreliable. She chalked it up to overexaggeration - and yet one of the kids had come home panicked, spouting nonsense about it having eaten their Litleo whole.[break][break]

Out of the kindness of her heart, or because of ulterior motive, Emma scours the outskirts herself looking for this threat. So far, she's come up empty and is convinced that they were seeing shit. Minding her business and she feels something dusty at the back of her neck. Thankfully, the Crobat at her heels is quick on the recovery, fanning away the poisonous powder sprayed from the Dustox's wings. Several AIR SLASHES or similiar effectively cut down the wild Pokemon, leaving it in ribbons. [break][break]

She strikes like a viper, the thrash of her tail the only indication that she's approaching due to the rustle of grass. Emma sidesteps, snapping to attention as soon as fire glints in her peripheral. Crobat avoids the attack by sheer luck, but the flames scald the surface of Emma's skin.[break][break]

Crobat retaliates with a debilitating CONFUSE RAY followed up with vicious AIR SLASHES. The bat cleaves the Salazzle asunder, opening wounds and driving back the now confused and panicked lizard. What she had taken for an easy meal in the sky had quickly turned sour. Several young Salandit follow her, taking the hint.[break][break]

Dread roots her feet to the ground as a flash of gold catches her attention. The cobra's strike is lightning fast and she doesn't see it in time. Crobat attempts to defend, fanning her wings to protect from the ACID as it's sprayed over them. Emma hisses as the poison lands on her forearm, and she shirks it off as quickly as she can. It leaves a burn against now-exposed flesh, having eaten through the first layer of her sleeve. Skin bubbles in a chemical reaction and she tucks her arm behind her.[break][break]

Crobat is injured but adamant to defend, but it is not the bat that comes to the rescue. Emma's pack descends like an ominous shadow, a mess of fangs and howls. The three Lycanroc collapse on the shiny Arbok, pinning it to the ground and forcing it into submission. It writhes and twists, injuring itself in the process as Emma approaches. [break][break]

"Tch."[break][break]

Anger flashes in her eyes as she tosses a Pokeball at the beast. A very real part of her considers skinning the snake. Its golden skin is surely worth a fortune on the black market. [break][break]
