He emerged from Rusturf Tunnel unto the grassy plains of Route 116.

Behind him, a trio of Metamon pushed and argued with each other as they followed in his path.

He left them to their own devices until he needed them to do otherwise, observing the flora in the immediate area with a keen eye.

He'd established from his rudimentary findings and the corroboration of more than one reliable source that Route 116 was a prime location to locate and subdue a Casey, the Psi Pokémon.

He didn't have much time to commit to this side endeavor but the benefits a successful search would yield were worth the time investment.

Taking out a notebook he jotted down a few details of the impish pokémon he saw go past, identifying it from memory as an iessan.

Classified as the Emotion Pokémon it was known to use its horns as means to read the emotions of others. As useful as an emotional identification ability could be in an interpersonal use, he was more interested in the pokémon's raw psychic power. To that end, the male of this species was prone to effective work as a valet.

The three 'splooges' behind him still bickering among themselves weren't the best at assistant work and he'd long since ceased giving them serious tasks. Having a new helping hand around would really make the lab more efficient.

Carefully, he snapped his finger so that the psychic would notice him.

He could have sent the triplets out to over power it but he just wasn't in the battling spirit. Something in his own emotions he hoped would be enough to pull the Iessan to him. In fact, given the severe lack of malice or discontent in his demeanor Wuuko was sure he was emitting something unique the horned pokémon would pick up on.

-and he was right.

As the male Iessan approached, curious about the serene and quiet emotional state of the human before him, Wuuko placed on the ground the uneaten half of a cereal bar, careful to put the garbage wrapper back in his pocket to properly dispose of later. Taking more steps back and placing an unoccupied pokéball on the ground he went stepped back once more and sat down on the ground in a meditative positioning.

Closing his eyes he actually tried to meditate for a moment.

He focused on the cool breeze in the air and the sounds of the triplets arguing among themselves. Breathing deep he focused on what good he could do with a new helper; his need for assistance. Hearing the chewing of the cereal bar and an approaching scampering. He focused his mind on the image of the psychic activating the pokéball.

He replayed the moment in his mind until for just the split of a second; he forgot about it was vision he was making up himself. Coming back to the world he opened his eyes to see the Iessan gone; his pokéball wobbling... and wobbling.

Iessan activated the unused pokéball.

He didn't move yet not until he knew if the little psychic wanted to come with him; never losing his quiet, curious, calm.
