[attr="class","dibody3"]she would have heard about the invasion in slateport city, but she really didn't think it could honestly be that bad. the young girl would hum as she swung back and forth on the swing set. "this is nice and reminds me of when i used to play at the parks back at home." she muttered to herself, swaying her head back and forth as she began to think about the times she spent before journeying to hoenn. the friends she had left behind just to get away from it all and see something new.

it honestly wasn't long before she started singing to herself. she would then be thinking about her new found friend thomas as she sang lightly and gently.

Kyle wouldn't normally talk to people, especially since he's at Slateport. Keeping a low profile was tantamount to not being shanked around these parts of Hoenn, which he closely observed upon entering the city. He would have entirely avoided the place too, had he not lost something in his apartment in the city. At this point though, he already got what he needed, ready to walk away from the city with a duffel bag on his back.

His Poochyena had noticed something that felt out of place amid their casual stroll. Kyle's eyes followed the Dark-type's sight, finding a lone girl at a swing set. He'd assume it was a Rocket and ignore her right away, knowing that he couldn't judge people well to know better, but was given no choice on the matter when the canine approached her.

He followed the Poochyena, who walked right up to her. "You're not rocket, are you?" was his straightforward question as he confronted her and her Flabebe, voice low and his cap tilted slightly forward to cover part of his face.

[attr="class","dibody3"]the young girl would continue singing until her eyes spotted the poochyena walking up to her. she gave a smile and continued singing until she saw the male as well. tilting her head, reila would move to hop from the swing and smile happily.

"nope! i'm a full on league member! are you a rocket? you seem like a rocket. but this poochyena is just too cute too be a bad guy." she spoke, moving to crouch down to baby talk the adorable dark type.

reila held out her hand and hummed lightly. "nice to meet you, cutie! i'm reila."

"That's... not something you should be saying out loud."

Especially in Slateport. His sense of wariness brought him to quickly scan the surroundings casually, eyes straining to find any sign of life besides them in the vicinity. Fortunately, there doesn't seem to be anyone else. His Poochyena did not react either, which was enough to persuade him into ease. Kyle heaved out a sigh after the reassurance, before scratching the back of his head at her statement.

"I can confirm that Alpha ain't a bad Poochy though. Good job deducing that. As for me, I'm Rocket while I'm here. League members can't be here."

Or at least, the weaker ones such as him. A party of six Poochyena wouldn't be able to get him to safety should he be found, he supposed. Then again, there was always the possibility of simply being ignored since he wasn't enough to present himself as a threat anyways.

The Poochyena placed his paw on her hand as his trainer started to ask a question on the Pokemon's stead. "Reila, can I ask you something?" Kyle would pause momentarily, but would ask the question anyways regardless of her response. "What are you doing here?"

reila would giggle a bit as she continued to pet the poochyena. so he was a rocket when he was in slateport? what did that even mean? either way, the woman would smile as she looked at the poochyena happily. once it put it's paw in her hand she let out an excited little squee. "you are just so adorable! yes you are, such a good poochy." she then moved to scratch behind alpha's ear with a grin.

kyle's words would get her attention again as he asked her a question. why was she in slateport anyway? honestly, the girl had forgotten. frowning a bit, reila would start to think back on her journey to the place. "i came here to clear my head. i was bored everywhere else. at least here, there is a sense of adventure!" the young woman then smiled.

it wasn't long before she felt something fall on her head and in her lap, causing her to yelp in surprise. huh? money and a move tutor ticket? guess santa came early this year!

Kyle would scratch the back of his head from her response. "That's dangerous..." He staggered the timing for his next words. Not that he can tell her otherwise about her decisions though, especially since he could somehow relate to the need of a change of pace. "...but I understand," he'd continue.

"If you're bored, does that mean you have time?"

She probably wasn't a Rocket as she claimed, maybe. Kyle wanted to believe that to avoid any complications, and that it was just a pain to think of ways to circumvent interacting with a member of that organization should she be one. Leaving it to the benefit of the doubt, he supposed it wouldn't be necessarily bad to ask for a favor for someone who expressed having nothing to do.

"I got more stuff in my apartment that I could go back for." He'd motion to his duffel bag. The essentials were there, but that did not include everything he wanted from his unit. "Wanna go back to the complex with me? You can raid the other apartments and stuff if you want. Doubt my neighbors stayed after the chaos last time."

He doubted anyone would mind. Should the League gain control of Slateport again, he supposed they could always just blame any missing items from his neighbors' apartments on the Rocket situation. He was basically taking advantage of the chaos for his own gain, but then again, it wasn't like law was to be observed in the city for some time.
