Given his encounters last time, the Blackadder boy thought he might find more desirable ghost pokemon on Mount Pyre itself. He had climbed only about a quarter of the way before he realized that this was a poor idea. His noodly form was not meant for such athletic pursuits. Briefly, he kicked himself for not flying, but who knew if that would just cause any potential catches to go to ground.

Now that he was here, he sat his backpack on the ground and removed the incense burner that he had picked up. It was advertised to attract only specific types of pokemon. It felt like a scam to Andy; one of those placebo items, but he had gotten two free as a trail. Why not try them then? Worst that could happen is nothing, and there was always the chance for that anyway.

The idea of carting the thing around while climbing the mountain was, needless to say, undesirable. And so, he and Epitaph waited to be haunted. As the foliage rustled, he looked up to see a misdreavus float through, smelling the aroma of the incense. It didn't smell like anything to him, so he wondered what was actually in it that attracted ghost types specifically. Pulling out his phone, he looked up the pokemon and its abilities, its potential. Casually the misdreavus floated over, looking at the screen with him.

It cooed curiously, and starred a moment before floating off. Andy was starting to be sold on the legitimacy of the incense. While the misdreavus was neat, he wanted to see what other potential ghosts would show up. As it hovered away, its body billowing, he noted that that was probably the chillest encounter he had had with a wild pokemon... probably ever.

Not long after is disappeared the trees rustled. The noise drawing his attention, Andy looked back over his shoulder to see them shake seemingly in the breeze. Yet, he did not feel the kiss of the wind on his flesh. The trees shook again, all of the ones around him moving in unison, their branches contorting wildly. Both Andy and Epitaph looked around rapidly, wary of what was to come.

Trying to spot something that would tell him what was going on, the boy did not notice the glowing eye of a trevenant come alive behind him. His vile monocular vision locking onto the youth in front of him, his wooden limbs scurried across the ground.
