walking further the seafloor cavern starts to give kyle the chills. as cold as the december hoenn air was on the surface, the cool underground temperatures seemed much more than what kyle expected.

"i think this is far enough."

beside him was his silvally that seemed to be too shy to be around people it doesn't know. this was the furthest place he figured that people would go to that his pokemon would be comfortable enough to actually perform kyle's experiment.

he slings his bag to his front and rummages his things inside the string bag. "are you ready, wolt?" he asks in the most serious manner. the silvally can only stare at his trainer before freezing when he sees him pull out a disc.

it's an old school playlist of his anime songs.

"i can insert discs on your thingie right?" he asks his pokemon, a finger pointing to his own ears. "think you can handle this? it's the same size as the one that popped out of you that one time."

the silvally shakes its head at kyle's suggestion. it doesn't want anything it's not programmed to process in its drives. although it's not the intentional programming for it, bugs might exist to exploit functions that weren't meant to happen-- such as playing music with its cd player.

"it's okay, i got a potion," kyle tries to argue his case. "if all else fails, i can just fix you up or something. your instruction manual probably has emergency procedures for repairs, i think."

the pokemon starts to inch backwards before turning tail and running to the cavern wall along the water's edge, scaring a little wishiwashi for it to swim away to the depths. it hugs the wall, before making a stand against his trainer.

"come on. just one try. please?"

the silvally decides to take its aggression towards the frogadier that watches from the edge of a lake. it gets surprised when it sees the silvally come charge, flinching as it charges straight at it.

it glows with as it connects its multi-attack with the frogadier. the wild pokemon gets thrown up in the air, and as a reflex from the previous month of nonstop pokemon catching, kyle throws a pokeball at the fainted pokemon.

"looks like we're taking it home," kyle mutters as he sees the water-type get captured by the pokeball.
