"How did you find this location, Shadow Hive scum?" Chryssa demanded, waking up straight out of a dead sleep, but the traitorous Accelgor was already long gone. Well, she had terrible bedhead and was wrapped almost entirely in a sleeping bag, but she unzipped it enough to grope around with one hand for whatever bomb or spider the ninja had clearly left behind. "A letter?"

She shoved it to the side to read later when she had a light on and felt around the present. It was very, very round. It felt sassy. "Oh, you'll do," she said eerily. "Hah. Hah. Hah."

Why was she bothering to be in character when John Sullivan wasn't even there? You never know when Accelgor might be watching. That was problematic in its own way, but anyway. There were other implications at stake. Receiving this present also meant the balance had been disturbed.

Retreating back into the warmth of her sleeping bag with her new Rowlet like a moray eel back into her hole, Chryssa withdrew to plot her next move.
