Truth be told, if you had asked Skids where he was going to return to out of all the places he could, would you have guessed the Hoenn region? It surprised him too. The idea hit him while he was packing his things in the apartment he was finally able to escape from. Everything had been paid back, the forced debt on him thanks to a certain primal idiot was finally over. So it was only natural he wanted to leave. Henry supported the decision and he was glad that his nephew wasn't going to be worrying over him; at least...Henry put on a good enough front for Skids to believe that. Still, just with old Salemn in his party returning home had many...mixed feelings. "Are the graves still there...." Skids found himself muttering as he adjusted his grip on the dragon's back. His chest felt tighter already...returning to the region where he lost so many important things...a loud growl brought him out of his thoughts. Making the man sit up straighter before turning his turquoise gaze to the dragon's face. A slow sigh left his chest as he gently patted their scales closer to their base of their neck. "You're right, like always." Skids reassured the other. "We'll visit em once we get situated. Still have to figure out the whole job thing as well as living arrangments..." A sound left Salemn as the dragon turned their head slightly to give Skids a look, narrowing one eye as they studied the old man. Did they seriously not handle that stuff before hand? Seeing the look, Skids gave a big smile that held hints of nervousness. Not that he was afraid or nervous by Salemn giving him that stare, more...more nervous that he knew what the dragon was judging him for. "Stop that! It's not that hard to figure out when we get there and honestly, this whole thing was last minute." Skids retorted, folding his arms. A scoff left Salemn as they turned their head around, letting their aged gaze turn back to the clouds and ocean water bellow that drifted by. And then, they saw it. The light color that only meant one thing, sand. Soon enough the dragon spotted the hints of buildings and before Skids could brace himself, the dragon kicked up their speed!! "HEY!" SKids shouted, quickly grabbing hold as Salemn was quickly descending. The next minute or two went fast, beach goers were probably enjoying a nice day without anything happening...that is until they saw a salamence coming in hot in the sky that was quick to adjust it's position and slow itself down just enough to not cause mass destruction or chaos in their landing. However the old dragon had a trick up their wings,and as their large feet landed heavily, they turned their body sharply to stop themself from skidding forward. Skids on the other hand, wasn't prepared for such a landing. So some people might notice a man in his fifties suddenly yeeted off the dragon's back and plunging head first into the sand as he slid across the sand. Coming to his own halt, the rest of his body soon plopped to the ground and Skids had to try a couple of times to pull his head out. Coughing some sands before he started to laugh. "You could've given a better heads up you wanted to sunbath so badly!" Skids remarked as he glanced over his shoulder at the blue and red pokemon. Already Salemn was ignoring him and making themselves at home in the hot sand. It was time for a nap. -------- Notes: Open to all and gigi bae
