So far Noelani wasn’t having luck fishing anything out though he wasn’t in a hurry and well the day was more for relaxation then seriously trying to fish. It seemed Aloha had more luck as something got caught on his rod. The Bewear pulled but whatever was stuck refused to budge and strained the fishing rod.

Obviously his pokemon didn’t like that and while it didn’t show on his face Noelani could tell Aloha had taken that as a challenged and began channeling his great strength in trying to pull out what ever had been caught. He heaved once, then again and on the third time Noelani could see the Bewear was also using Strength to augment himself when pulling.

That proved to be overkill though as with a splash a pokemon rocketed from the water and into the air while the rod Aloha was using broke at the base. What landed on the ground next to them was revealed to be a Mareanie. It seemed the hook had wedged on its spikes and it was obviously angry at being pulled out of the water. Though its rage quickly bled out once it took stock of its surrounding.

A rather large spread-out group of pokemon eyeing one would do that to a pokemon. Taking pity on it Noelani took out a bit of food and placed it a few feet away from him as a peace offering. The Mareanie eventually took it while grumbling before walking away from the group, no doubt planning to enter the water as far away from them as possible.

Lounging around Noelani had given up on fishing at this point and instead settled for sitting around and entertaining Kala and giving out suggestion while she tried out a dancing routine that involved actively using Leaf Blade. The Bellossom had a frankly obsessive like for the move ever since she had learned it and tried to use it as much as possible. Oh, you need help with carrying things better try Leaf Blade. The list went on but well it’s not like he tried to stop her.

His musing was interrupted when a Slowking wandered into their spot, gathering the looks of everyone present. It simply stared back serenely and after a few minutes of not doing anything most of Noelani’s pokemon returned to doing their own thing. Well, Wikolia was still keeping an eye on him but that was just in the Vulpix’s nature to do so.

His starter was also keeping an eye on the wild pokemon in her own way. Which meant that she approached the now sat Slowking and roped him in as both a judge and helper in her Leaf Blade routine. It was this strange scene that both of his flying types returned to from their race. Not that he could blame them though after all currently the water type was using Swagger to demonstrate confident strutting to Kala that she then tried to mimic as best she could.

Chuckling Noelani just absentmindedly shrugged “Don’t think too hard about it.” And that was that. Soon the Slowking had just blended into their day of relaxation. It fished with Aloha, stared at Wikolia and then even played some cards with the Noelani to help him kill time. All in all, it proved to be a refreshing day.

Eventually the sun started to set and it was time to go though as Noelani was gathering his things he turned towards the Slowking and asked “Hey want to come with me? “

The psychic type pondered the question for a while till it finally shrugged its shoulders and made a thumbs up as best as it could with its claw. A chuckle escaped Noelani at the gestures before he approached the pokemon and touched it with an empty pokeball and that was that.
